Dr. Stephanie Sfiroudis, DDS, graduated with academic excellence at Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine with a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study of Periodontics and a Masters in Oral Biology. She was recognized for astonishing clinical distinctions, receiving the Blasco C. Gomes Award, the Quintessence Award, and Dental Implant Student Award.Prior to dental school, Dr. Sfiroudis achieved the highest GPA, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a Minors of Chemistry and Philosophy of Science.

Upon entering dental school, Dr. Sfiroudis did not innately know that she wanted to be a periodontist. However, she has always had a penchant for art and communication. Therefore, this specialty found her as she excelled throughout her periodontics clinical and didactic. She was continuously intrigued by the idea of seeing patients for multiple visits. This blossomed into her passion for establishing a professional relationship with patients while ensuring their comfortability in accepting their diagnoses and recommended treatment. Of course, like other surgeons, she enjoys performing surgeries and collaborating with her referrals to instill top-notch patient care.

Dr. Stephanie Sfiroudis practices the art of dentistry, including the treatment of gum disease, bone augmentation and the placement of dental implants. To Dr. Sfiroudis, every patient is like family. She prides herself on listening to her patients and taking an individualized approach to their oral care. Dr. Sfiroudis utilizes the latest in procedures, instruments and technologies, and strives for minimal invasiveness for maximum comfort, so patients don't fear going to the periodontist.

Digital radiographs and radiology provide Dr. Sfiroudis and her staff with an instant picture of your oral health for quicker treatment, while also minimizing your exposure to radiation for enhanced safety and comfort. The digital panoramic radiography scanning system rotates around your head in a complete circle for an exact picture of your smile, so the doctor can assemble an effective treatment plan for your health.

For patients facing major procedures, Dr. Sfiroudis utilizes the precise technology of the SlimPlant software system to create a comprehensive plan. This innovative software digitally scans a 3D image of your smile to a computer to help the doctor develop the best plan for your implant procedure for peak effectiveness.

Dr. Sfiroudis offers sedation dentistry for patients who suffer from severe anxiety about visiting the dentist. Nitrous oxide is a proven relaxing agent and provides a safe and comfortable way to relax during your treatment. With nitrous oxide, patients remain aware and are able to talk with Dr. Sfiroudis during the procedure. Nitrous oxide is fast acting and wears off quickly. IV sedation is also available.

Many adult Americans suffer from some form of periodontal disease but aren't even aware of it. The early detection of gingivitis is the best defense against developing periodontal disease. By making the choice to see Dr. Sfiroudis, you have taken the first step towards protecting yourself against periodontal disease. She will conduct a thorough evaluation of your teeth and gums and provide you with a diagnosis. She will then go over your dental history and daily habits to comprise a dental plan based on your individual needs. Whatever your dental goals, Dr. Sfiroudis will work closely with your general dentist to ensure you have access to complete oral care.

From the street view, you can see where you can turn into the parking lot, and where you enter the building. Once you enter, go up the stairs, take your first right, and we are the first office on the right.

I'm probably no different from, well, everyone, I hate the dentist. I avoid it at all costs which in turn forces me to NEED to see one. And a good one at that. After being in pain for longer than I can stand I made the appointment. From the moment I walked into the office, I was met with care and concern from anyone I interacted with. Dr. Attalla could not have made a horrifying experience easier and less terrifying, constantly ensuring I wasn't in any pain and letting me know each step along the process I am heading down to correct and keep my teeth, gums and everything in a better condition than I have previously. Literally every step, even recommending what tooth brush I should be looking into (vitality, oral b, no it's not a paid promotion). Honestly this is a long road, but for my own health I have to be in it for the long haul but will never distrust another dentist ever again, because I'll be going back to her every chance I get and taking any other recommendations she makes seriously! To go from a hate to love relationship with the dentist is something I never thought would be possible for someone who's entire mouth is full of sweet teeth.

I can't say enough about how amazing Dr. Attalla and her team are! I've tried a few dentists over the years, but none compare to this office. Denise does a fantastic job on with cleanings. She's thorough, careful, and takes her time. It's always a pleasant experience and. Because she does such an amazing job, my teeth always feel clean and there is no buildup! Dr. Attalla is the best dentist I've had. She's knowledgeable, caring, and honest. Dr Attalla only suggests treatments that are truly beneficial or necessary. There's never a wait time, and the team is great about scheduling. I always feel welcomed here. If you're thinking about seeing Dr. Attalla, definitely go ahead and make the appointment!

Had an urgent first time appointment, primary Dentist had records transferred to her Dr. Attala's office and I called that morning to tell the receptionist that my husband was gravely ill and I questioned whether I should keep the appointment. Since she told me that I had a inflamed gums, she suggested I come in. It was only one tooth that was giving me a serious problem and thought the Dentist would be able to help me out. I got to the office for an 11:15 appointment as few minutes earlier, filled out the papers as a first time patient. I was recommended to this Dentist by very dear friends whose judgement I respect and has been using Dr. Attalla. I read all her reviews and her schooling and all looked great. Let me tell you sitting 45 minutes in the examining room waiting for the Dentist to pop in to even just say "hello, I am busy at the moment but will be with you shortly" never happened. I asked two assistants to check on the dentist, one said she will be with me shortly as she is checking my record. The other said she will tell her. When the 45 minute mark arrived I got up and started walking out. As I passed the next office I told that gal that I waiting beyond a responsible about time and to tell the Dentist I was leaving. She then told me she was the Dentist and was on the phone with the Sanitation Dept. When I blurted out my story and she said she was sorry but why did I come in. She said she would check with the front desk. The office was fully staffed and I was totally overlooked and never even had an examining bib put on. This Doctor surely does not have control of her office and if her calls to the Sanitation Dept were above her patients she should have never opened her office to patients or had one of her many front office assistants call for her. There was someone working in another office there as well so the office was in force but obviously she was not!!!!! I would not go by the glorious experiences people write about. When you really need a Doctor you see their true professionalism and ability to care and function. Dr. Attalla showed me her lack of these qualities. I have never written a note like this and can overlook a lot but this note might be helpful really helpful to someone. There are many Dentists out there. . The Dentist could have easily walked into the examining room, introduced herself and said she was having some difficulties with time and she would be with in in such and such minutes and especially since I was recommended by very good patients of hers who recommended her to me. Even to say it was nice that they recommended her to me and I'll see you in a few. Nothing.... out of sight. The reason I called the office in the morning was to tell them that I wasn't sure I should keep the appointment as my husband was terminally ill and on very thin ice. I was advised to keep my appointment at 11:15. I mentioned I had to be back by 1:30 and she said no problem. To make matters worse, the Dentist didn't even have the common courtesy to try to make amends nor did she call me at home afterwards to apologize. Surely not a Dentist I would ever want to work with for major periodontal work.

I am no fan of the dentist, but I was highly recommended by a friend to visit Dr. Attalla's office. I am so glad I did. Everything from the staff, to the facility, to having no pain afterwards, was a pleasant experience. I also, highly recommend making an appointment.
