Mariana C. Elwell, DDS, MAGDis the daughter of a Medical Doctor and a Doctor of Acupuncture. She hails from Albuquerque, NM, and earned her undergraduate degree from New Mexico State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor degrees inChemistry, Molecular Biology, and Spanish in 2000. Dr. Elwell was an integral member of academic research while attending NMSU. She successfully earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of California-San Francisco in 2004. While completing this rigorous training, Dr. Elwell promoted research and educational advancements in dentistry as the four-year elected representative of the American Dental Education Association.

Dr. Elwell subsequently commissioned as an Officer in the United States Air Force. She proudly served on active duty in Anchorage, Alaska, as a Captain and General Dentist, where she was a core member of a team providing care to over 7,000 servicemen and women with a 99% satisfaction rating. During her time in the Air Force, Dr. Elwell participated in the Artic Care Humanitarian Mission, taking essential dental care to residents residing in remote areas of Northern Alaska. Dr. Elwell has since worked in private practice and community healthcare settingsin Oregon, New Mexico, and New Jersey.

Dr. Elwell is a life-long student of dentistry. In 2012,she was awarded Fellow ofthe Academy of General Dentistry, following the successful completion of hundreds of hours ofpost-doctoral education and training. After receiving this designation, Dr. Elwell re-entered professional training and graduated from an intensive one-year hospital-based General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, PA, in 2014. This advanced dental education and further clinical training assisted Dr. Elwell with innovative clinical techniques, and gave her an expanded understanding of treating the whole person through the practice of dentistry. In 2017, she earned the high designation of Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, and has recently received Board Eligible status from the American Board of General Dentistry.

Since joining our team in June of 2020, Elisa Hernandez has been a very electric addition to our staff! With many years of delivering Grade A customer service as a certified Medical Assistant, and later as a Surgical Coordinator, Elisa proved that all administrative responsibilities can be conquered with patience and hard work. Now serving as our Office Administrator, Elisa swiftly handles any issues or questions of our lovely patients. Peggy is a certified registered dental assistant who has been in the dental field for over 20 years. She has been a part of the Bridgeton dental community for most of these years. Sheappreciates getting to know our patients personally and providing them with exceptional care. Peggy enjoys spending time with her family, walking, yoga, and reading.

Our hygienist Megan Bailey is a charismatic practitioner. She is a highly skilled hygienist who is excited with every patient that comes in the door. Megan loves working with patients of all ages, especially children, making them feel comfortable and welcome during their first visit and enjoys watching them grow and mature. Megan is a South Jersey native and a graduate of Schalick High School. She attended Camden County College and received her degree in dental hygiene. She has been in the dental field for over 15 years and enjoys every second of it. Her passion for dental hygiene can be felt in every dental visit. Megan practices with compassion and empathy for all patients, understanding every patient has special needs and customizes her treatment as needed.

Intrigued with the Dental field and very appreciative of all dental care she had received, Cecilia Hernandez was inspired to one day contribute to the same cause that put a smile on her face. Cecilia achieved her goal of becoming a Dental Assistant, receiving not only her Dental Assisting Diploma, but also her Dental Radiology License. She happily joined our staff in the summer of 2018, willing and eager to contribute to the overall happiness of our patients, one smile at a time. Cecilia does her best to make her great friends and family smile with laughter, enjoying a variety of pastimes like Soccer with her nieces and nephews.
