Originally established as a provider of womens health services, we have continued to grow to meet the needs of our community. With 15 locations and three mobile units, and a 30-year legacy of providing excellent, accessible care, we are dedicated to serving the entire family and making our community healthier and stronger.

FamilyCare receives HHS funding and has Federal PHS deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.

Children and teens at five area schools begin receiving comprehensive health care during weekly school visits. They're offered check-ups, screenings, immunizations, physicals, and additional services as needed.

FamilyCare takes an exciting step to become involved in educating the next generation of pediatricians by adopting Childrens Medicine Center, located inside of the Women and Childrens Hospital, as a FamilyCare Health Centers site.

Students at Boone and Putnam County schools are visited by a brand new vehicle. With its shiny new look, Miles of Smiles continues to provide the same quality services as the original mobile dental unit did: oral health assessments, cleanings, fluoride treatments, x-rays, and sealants.

Individuals looking for psychiatry and addictions treatment can now receive the help they need from qualified providers at FamilyCare. Services at the center soon expand to include family medicine and womens health services.

Supported by a grant from The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation, women in the Recovery Point program are offered on-site preventive and restorative oral health care from a FamilyCare dental provider, helping them get back on their feet.

FamilyCare is a non-profit community health center and federally qualified health center (FQHC) overseen by a community board of directors. FamilyCare meets the standards set by the National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) for a patient centered medical home.
