Dr. Marc Schwartz credits his wonderful childhood dentist for sparking his early fascination with the field. He grew up in Belmont and knew he wanted to become a dentist since he was a young boyhe always knew that he wanted to help people, and he loved working with his hands. Dr. Schwartz never veered away from his dream career path and this shows in the care he provides to his patients.
Dr. Schwartz received his undergraduate degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara. After earning his dental degree from the University of Southern California in 1995, he returned to the Bay area to open his private practice. He has always loved the area and knew that he wanted to set up practice here. He feels that the high-tech environment of the Silicon Valley is a perfect backdrop for an ultramodern dental practice. Dr. Schwartz is a perfectionist and being in private practice enables him to maintain the highest standards of care, ensuring that patients receive the most optimal treatments available.
Dr. Schwartz feels that it is extremely important to stay apprised of revolutionary developments in dentistry. To do so, he participates regularly in various continuing education courses and maintains membership in organizations including the American Dental Association, and the San Mateo Dental Society.
Dr. Schwartz loves practicing dentistry in his hometown. He cites terrific schools, gorgeous weather, and a wonderful sense of community as top perks of living and working in Belmont. In his leisure time, Dr. Schwartz enjoys mountain biking, snowboarding, skiing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
A graduate of the Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC in Los Angeles, Dr. Schwartz is committed to lifelong learning. That means staying on top of the latest innovations in the dental field by regularly attending professional courses and conferences. To Dr. Schwartz, education is about more than just degrees and expertise. He believes that education is essential for living a long and healthy life and embraces that philosophy by teaching his patients the importance of prevention and maintaining great oral care habits. His ultimate goal is for every patient to improve their oral health, which can help prevent major restorative procedures.

I've never had an experience at any dentist before in my life, like I've ever had at Dr Schwartz's office !! By far the most gentle, caring, and incredible talent going on !!!!!!! I feel like family when I'm there. They have made a total transformation of my smile. I could go on and on about how fantastic of a dentist Dr Marc is.

Extremely knowledgeable and a true professional at his discipline. Dr. Schwartz unearthed many problems that numerous dentist carelessly over looked, which will cost me thousand to correct. If you want the very best in dental care, look no further!!!

Dr Schwartz has so far saved three of my teeth that a less talented dentist messed up rather badly, a filling and two crowns. The two crowns had made the teeth under them sensitive but since Dr. Schwartz replaced the crowns, I no longer have heat/cold sensitivity. What a relief. The other tooth was spared a root canal. I would recommend Dr.Schwartz to anyone looking for dentist.

Dr. Schwartz is the best...this coming from a lifelong dentaphobe. He's very considerate of my ofttimes irrational anxieties, and always shepherd's me thru my needed procedures gingerly and efficiently.

Five stars well earned. I've been a patient for over ten years and Dr Schwartz is amazing. Great office. Great staff. Always staying up with the latest technology. Inlays and crowns milled on site in a 3D computer controlled robotic mill. How cool is that? He's the only dentist I've seen who I can honestly say has never hurt me. Seriously. The worst I've ever felt is some minor discomfort, and that was only transient. I've had fillings, a root canal. A crown. All done in office, and never an issue.

Dr. Schwartz and his staff have served my wife and I for several years now. We both like him and his team. They are very courteous and helpful. We are able to make appointment adjustments when necessary. They have been helpful in resolving billing issues with our vision insurance coverage. Because we visit regularly to maintain healthy teeth and gums, Dr. Schwartz' work has helped us enter our senior years in good condition. We have no doubt that the doctor and his team will help you as he has us.

Six years plus with Dr. Schwartz and I couldn't ask for a more dedicated, caring, exacting and knowledgeable dentist. He really makes every effort to choose the best treatment for each problem, focusing on saving natural teeth with high-quality, high-tech techniques and equipment. His staff is friendly, skilled, and so pleasant to visit with. No more 'fear of dentist' issues with this practice. I would highly recommend Dr. Schwartz.

Dr. Schwartz has a great chair side manner about him. He always makes you feel comfortable, explains the procedure before, during and after, even if it's a simple filling. He saved my teeth and has given me a smile I can be proud of. Dr. Schwartz is a 5 STAR dentist. I highly recommend his services.

I've been going to Dr. Schwartz since 2002. The staff is great, the equipment and methods are up to date, and I love their preventative care approach. For example, Dr. Schwartz will take care of a soft spot before it becomes a cavity, even if that means he makes less down the line. I have no intention of leaving his practice and even pay the extra for him being out of network for my dental benefits. He and his staff are friendly and always willing to discuss questions.
