The safety of our patients is always our number one priority, which is why we only use 100% digital X-rays. Not only are these faster and show much more detail compared to regular film, but they also emit 90% LESS radiation, which provides all-important peace of mind for our parents and team. Plus, we can quickly show you your childs images right after taking them so youre always up to date when it comes to their oral health.
For children with special needs, overcoming challenges is just a fact of life, and for many, going to the dentist can be a big source of anxiety. Thankfully, Dr. Maggie, Dr. Lorielle, and our entire team have helped countless children over the years with mental, physical, sensory, and behavioral special needs. We can easily adjust the lighting, sound, and scent of our dental office to make your childs experience completely comfortable, so dont hesitate to give us a call and let us know how we can provide the best dental experience ever.
A well-run dental office is also a clean office, and we go above and beyond the standards set by the American Dental Association and OSHA so that we virtually eliminate any risk of infection. In fact, our dental office hosts the Sterisil water filtration system to provide clean, bacteria-free water. We sterilize our waiting area multiple times a day, and we even have a special machine that quickly kills any microbes on our metal instruments. That way, when we use them, its like weve just gotten them out of the package.
In addition to completing dental school, Dr. Maggie and Dr. Lorielle have also obtained their board-certification in pediatric dentistry, which means they have received years of advanced training specifically focused on treating childrens smiles. Childrens mouths are constantly changing, and thanks to their dedicated experience, our dentists will easily be able to keep your child on track toward a lifetime of healthy smiles.
The majority of children will need some type of orthodontic correction before they reach adulthood, and rather than sending you off to a specialist in an unfamiliar dental office, our on-site orthodontist is ready to provide your child with everything they need right here! From braces to retainers and everything in between, were your one-stop-shop when it comes to all of your childs dental needs.
We see children with dental anxiety every single day, and thankfully, we have multiple sedation options that are proven to calm little minds and help even the most fearful child breathe easy. Nitrous oxide is a quick and easy way to make routine checkups and cleanings fly by, and for more advanced procedures, IV sedation can ensure your little one remains completely comfortable the entire time. Between these methods and our friendly service, youll never have to worry about your childs dental visits again.
In her younger years, Dr. Maggie watched as her mom went back to school to study nursing and pursue a profession of serving others. It inspired her to choose a career that involved helping people as well! After being a volunteer coach for a young girls basketball team and going on three dental mission trips, she realized that pediatric dentistry was her true calling in life. Growing up as an athlete and point guard, shed always loved being part of not only a team, but the local neighborhood as a whole. Today, shes very proud to be a community leader while also taking good care of little teeth all day long.
Dr. Maggie completed her undergraduate degree, her Doctor of Dental Medicine, and her pediatric residency at the University of Florida GO GATORS! She graduated 4th in her class and was the Chief Pediatric Resident during her time there. She was also inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society.
Today, Dr. Maggie is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist and a Diplomate in the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, which means that she has successfully completed voluntary examinations and demonstrated specialized knowledge and skill. Diplomates are 100% dedicated to providing exceptional patient care through a voluntary commitment to lifelong learning! To this end, she completes over 50 hours of continuing education each year in a number of specialties. So far, shes been certified in pediatric sedation by the State of Florida, infant and pediatric laser tongue and lip ties by the American Board of Laser Surgery, and pediatric zirconia crowns by Sprig.
At home, Dr. Maggie loves spending time with her super outdoorsy family. Her husband Cliff is a physician, and they have three sons, Colton, Camden, and Mason, who are obsessed with wrestling and playing. The last member of their family is a big Red Lab named Axel. It's safe to say that Dr. Maggie is outnumbered by the boys 5 to 1!
As for personal hobbies, Dr. Maggie enjoys going with the kids on various outdoor adventures, including camping, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and mountain climbing. Shes definitely a natural tomboy and always wants to tag along when her husband and sons try to go off and do boy things without her. When she has a few hours of me time, she enjoys doing BodyPump at the YMCA or exercising on her Peloton bike. Finally, Dr. Maggie serves as an Advisory Council Member for the North Pinellas YMCA and volunteers at her son's schools.
Dr. Lorielle actually had to undergo extensive dental treatment herself she had an impacted canine that led to a failed dental implant! Unfortunately, multiple attempts at tissue/bone grafts also failed, but there was a silver lining. She developed a strong drive to contribute to dentistry in some way, and because she had so much personal experience by that point, it made her much more capable of relating to her patients. Today, she hopes to prevent or at least alleviate the struggles that she herself went through at a young age.
Dr. Lorielles college career started at Vanderbilt University, where she completed her degree in biomedical engineering. From there, she pursued her dental doctorate at the University of Florida (GOOOOO GATORS), followed by the completion of her pediatric residency at the same school. Today, she is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, which demonstrates her specialized knowledge and commitment to lifelong learning. She is also trained in pediatric conscious sedation, advanced cardiac life support, and sleep and breathing wellness. Today, she is a member of the following organizations:
Dr. Lorielle was born in New York, but her family moved to South Florida in her early years. She quickly became a sunshine-and-beach-loving Floridian! She has a sister who is her best friend, even if she currently lives in Virginia. She met her husband David while in dental school, and they now have a baby boy named Lane.
In her free time, Dr. Lorielle enjoys being a mom (of course), hiking, keeping up with exercise, cooking, traveling, and trying lots of new cuisines at restaurants. Shes also a member of the Junior League of Tampa and the Kids Connect Committee!
Heres an interesting tidbit about Dr. Lorielle: even though she has two Herrington metal rods in her back from scoliosis surgery at age 14, she has done cheerleading from the age of 10 all the way up to her senior year at Vanderbilt, where she was the captain of the squad! Enthusiasm is definitely her second nature.
