Dr. Rosario was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He attended Marquette University for his undergraduate studies in Biology and received his doctorate degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He completed his internship at Naval Dental Center in Great Lakes, Illinois and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Naval Medical Center, San Diego, California.
Dr. Rosario served in the United States Navy for 15 years achieving the rank of Commander. He served as Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon for the USS Carl Vinson Battle Group deployed in the Western Pacific and as Head of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Naval Health Care, New England in Newport, Rhode Island. He deployed aboard hospital ship USNS Comfort in support of humanitarian relief efforts in both Haiti and New Orleans.
Totally committed to his profession, Dr. Rosario practices full scope Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery with emphasis in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants and associated bone grafting, oral pathology, orthognathic surgery and Maxillofacial trauma. He is the longest actively serving Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon volunteering as associate staff at the Ocala Regional Medical Centers level II trauma service since its inception in full support of the local community and fellow dental and medical colleagues.
Dr. Rosario is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery since 2004, Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Florida Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and past president and current treasurer of the Marion County Dental Association.
Dr. Rosario is married to Carmen, originally from Chicago, IL and has four children: Sofia, Nicolas, Lucas and Marcos. Theyre active parishioners at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church since 2007 and members of the Fort King Tennis Club. As a family they absolutely love Ocalas small town feel and sense of familiarity and welcoming spirit of its friends and neighbors.
Dr. Montgomery was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska where he was captain of the collegiate soccer team and received undergraduate degrees in Biology and Chemistry. He then completed a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Dr. Montgomery then completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Detroit Receiving Hospital. He also completed a Medical Degree from the Wayne State University College of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association.
Dr. Montgomery practices full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery including office-based dental extractions and implants with sedation, as well as benign pathology, orthognathic surgery, and Maxillofacial trauma. He strives to always provide the best possible care for his patients while also helping them to be relaxed and comfortable for their planned procedure.
Dr. Montgomery met his wife Dr. Jennel Carreras-Montgomery during their residencies in Detroit. Jennel is from Miami, FL and she completed her Medical Degree at the University of Florida. They enjoy being active outdoors and spending time with family. They both feel it is a wonderful opportunity to become a part of the friendly Ocala community.
Our staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. Ocala Oral Surgerys staff are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies, and are CPR, ACLS and DAANCE certified.
Im Melanie. I have been an oral surgery surgical assistant with the practice since 1996. I have worked with Dr. Rosario since 2006 as his primary assistant. I am passionate about my job and feel very blessed to work for such a generous, caring and skilled doctor and team. I have an amazing daughter. I enjoy spending time with family & friends, traveling, paddle-boarding and the beach.
My name is Jennifer and I enjoy movies, music, the beach and memories made with family and loved ones. I have a teenage daughter named Breanna, who aspires to be a surgeon. I started with this practice in 2005 as a surgical scrub tech and have acquired the skills and experience to assist with duties in the entire office. I take pride in making the patients feel like they are my number one priority. I look forward to the future with this wonderful practice.

Dr. Rosario did an amazing job with my Extractions. I had 4 wisdom teeth and 4 bicuspids extracted under sedation. All my friends and family were surprised at how quickly I recovered. I had absolutely no bruising and I'm surprised that swelling only lasted around 2 days. (I did drink a lot of pineapple juice though!!) I was scared to get 8 teeth extracted all at once but I felt relief knowing Dr. Rosario will be doing it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! If you're looking for oral surgeons, I recommend choosing Ocala Oral Surgery. Staff is amazing and very friendly. 100/10 <3

I am a Combat War Veteran, I had a few teeth removed in my 18 year of service. Dr Rosario, removed my Tooth, with ease after finding out it had 5 Roots holding the Tooth. I didn't feel any Pain which I am use too. I didn't need any Pain Meds . I will returned for all my Dental Needs and let the military know about the excellent service received.

Dr. Rosario is an excellent oral surgeon and extremely compassionate. His staff is professional, courteous and efficient. His office is tastefully decorated and meticulously clean, and his equipment appears to be relatively new. It is no surprise that my implant procedure was perfectly orchestrated with excellent results under the care of such a talented surgeon and extremely well managed office.

I have known Dr. Rosario for quite some time. First when he did my wife's implant. After her surgery he came out and explained how she did and took the time to put me at ease. More recently he performed two extractions for me in preparation for my implants. Again he took the time to explain, step by step, what I could expect. He even reassured me that I was doing the right thing for my health and well-being. While he does not attach the actual crown of the implant he does do everything up to including the posts. He will ensure you are familiar with the procedure. I know this review is a little lengthy, I just want to reassure those who are considering implants that he is a surgeon you can trust completely. I just find him to be not only a fine surgeon but a caring one as well.Thank you Dr. Rosario, for being there for us. Will and Gail.

Got all 4 wisdom teeth removed. Was able to go back to regular food after only a couple of days. Healed right up! Instructions were clear and concise. Can't really ask for much else :D

In 2006 i went to Dr Rosario. He was working under an older dentist he was a viet nam vet i can't recall his name. I went to have a molar extracted. Dr Luis pulled out the wrong tooth(i think you remember me dr rosario. I remember the look on your face when i told you that you had pulled the wrong tooth. Dr Rosario assured me he would put in an implant to correct the mistake. Then his boss, the viet nam guy, informed me that i would have lost that tooth in a few years anyway. He invited me to sue him. Like many others i lacked the resources to pursue legal action. Thats how my experience was with Dr Luis Rosario.

Hands down a priceless blessing to have your kids or yourself in the hands of a surgeon who is not just extremely educated and current in their profession BUT also extremely compassionate for each one of their patients. Dr. Rosario and his team have hands down with no hesitation hit the bull's eye on the target when it comes to servicing your oral surgery needs. Usually things are unbalanced you get a nice doctor but not a good staff or vice versa OR the whole service all around is a flop. My 10 year old daughter was there to have a few teeth extracted last week and as a mom I was very anxious about having her be put to sleep. From Danielle who went over my insurance info., to Sarah who completed her X-Ray all the way to the Receptionist and any other hands that my have assisted I am sooooo grateful for their professionalism and kindness. They made sure to do X-rays to double check they were not pulling or charging me for any unnecessary teeth and Dr.Rosio even touch based with my daughter's orthodontist on a clarification he wanted before proceeding that day. He even called her himself over the weekend to check on her and make sure she was doing ok. From the bottom of my heart thank you so much Dr. Rosario and team again for your professionalism and kindness! It's good to be good and it feels good to be treated good! Keep up the great work!

Please be aware that the negative review left by Sara Winters in most likely not a real review. She left negative reviews for 5 local oral surgeons claiming her husband had been a patient and a whole hose of things went wrong. The only positive review she left was for New Frontier Oral Surgery. She also left a bad review for my company even though she was never a customer and coincidentally left it right after I had left a negative review for New Frontier . We believe she either works at or is related to Doctor at New Frontier. Please do not hold her negative review against this doctor. He did not deserve it. I am posting this same review on the other doctors she claimed her husband had bad experience with (All 5 of them and all within a couple mile radius of New Frontier.

Would highly recommend Dr. Luis Rosario for any oral surgery. Going in I was nervous, anxious but immediately put at ease by Dr. Rosario and his staff. Tops in my book!!!!

I think he is a great oral surgern the staff are wonderful got in and out quickly with my surgery but I was confused after the surgery I lost a shoe all smiles it was on the floor good people. ThankYou
