Dr. Gupta holds a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from India which is a five year full time degree and also a Doctor of Dental Surgery (Advanced Standing Program) from New York University. She has nearly 8000 hours of extra Dental training over and beyond what is required to earn a Dental Degree from a 4 year program in the U.S. Combining the best of Eastern and Western thought she takes a holistic approach towards Dental Health in the context of the entire human body. Nutrition, Stress Management and Overall Health is considered when rendering Dental Care. The focus is on prevention of dental problems and to correct them before they become major issues.

Our Dental Office was designed by an Architect. Special attention was paid to create a welcoming, soothing environment. The entire Office is extremely clean and the ergonomics are exceptional. We provide a Television free waiting area with sumptuous sofas and chairs. High end real wood furniture provides a home like feeling. Multiple lighting sources produce a warm, relaxing ambiance. Pay attention to the ceiling tile created from volcanic ash and real Cherry Wood doors imported from Canada.

The practice spared no expense in choosing the best Dental equipment in the world. The Panoramic X-Ray is Sirona from Germany, the intraoral X-Ray is Planmeca from Finland and the dental Chairs are ADEC 500 from the US, and the Digital X-Ray Processor is Air Techiniques of US. The practice owns every necessary dental equiment such as intra-oral cameras, Pulp vitality tester, curing lights, Zoom Advanced Power tooth whitening system and many others. You can rest assured that if technology can improve Dental Care rendered, then we have it.

Film Based X-Rays need higher exposure times and a higher operating voltage in the X-Ray equipment. This means that film based X-Rays expose the patient to higher amount radiation especially since the energy of the radiation increases as the square of the Voltage. Digital Sensor based X-Rays require a shorter exposure time, typically between 0.1 and 0.32 seconds as opposed to 1 second or longer for film based X-Rays. This means that Digital X-Rays can cut radiation by 80% to 90%. The testing agency for radiation has issued a letter that is available in the waiting room. This letter comments on the exceptionally low level of radiation generated by our equipment. As if that were not enough, we use a collimator to further narrow the X-Rays to prevent scatter and any unneccessary exposure. Lead Aprons and Thyroid collars are used to prevent exposure to the core of the body. X-Rays are not done on pregnant patients or those suspecting pregnancy. If X-Ray are absolutely necessary, double shielding is provided to protect the mother and child.

We are extremely particular about disinfection and cleanliness. Under our FAQs you can read in detail about all the steps we take for infection control. In addition to all of those steps the waiting area is vacuumed everday, all solid surfaces in the waiting area are cleaned with a disinfecting agent, the bathroom floors and fixtures are cleaned daily, all door handles and glass are cleaned periodically. The Dental Office has a certified 300 Cubic Feet per minute of fresh air intake to prevent the sick building syndrome. The practice maintains a wall to wall state-of-the-art Sterilization Center with separate dirty and clean areas. You can rest assured that you and your familys safety take precedence over anything else. We do weekly spore testing to ensure that the sterilization Autoclave is doing its job. The reports from the testing are available in the waiting room. Please take time to read them.

We believe in conservative treatment and the focus is on prevention of disease. If you have had the experience of suddenly needing a root canal although you saw your dentist regularly, you would appreciate this. We treat cavities and tooth decay before they turn into major issues such as root canals and crownns. We try to save your natural teeth instead of fitting you with dentures. We believe stress in modern life is playing a major role and we find ways to prevent the damage that this can cause to your teeth.

Our practice participates with many insurances and chances are we are in your PPO network. If you are covered by one of the insurances that we do not participate with, many time we will accept the Usual and Customary as payment in full if these are reasonable. (Note: Copays and Co-insurance cannot be waived under any circumstances). We go to exceptional lengths to track your benefits and estimate your portion for the treatment before any services are rendered. We try to maintain a zero surprise policy so that you do not get a huge bill later on. We are not aware of any practice that spends as much time and resources as we do on this matter.

We provide you the best value for money. Our Dental Care is second to none and we render care while working with your insurance. We keep our overheads low, our staffing optimum and our investments in equipment and technology pragmatic and wise. Unnecessary expenses are kept to minimum and resources are directed to increase patient safety and comfort. Expensive fads like CEREC are shied away from which many practices are advertising.

About a year ago Dr (and I use that term loosely)recommended I have 7 teeth extracted (11in total) and that I needed an upper and lower partial denture. I went to an excellent oral surgeon, then went back to Gupta for terrible painful top dentures. I could not wear them to eat. For 10 months while my permanent partials were finally made. The tops needed adjustment. And are fine. The bottoms. Ha. When I call Kathy acts like I'm bothering her to try to get an appointment. Gupta adjusted my dentures one time , turned on her heel and said don't come back for two weeks. When I asked about what to do for pain(NEVER ASKING FOR OPIATES) she walked out. I can not wear my bottom dentures. Because there is a fairly round puffy pouch on both sides of my tooth and the top. Today she threw me out of her practice because I told her I was filing a case against her with the NYS peer review. There is so much more to this story. The only nice person is crystal. Ihave had chronic mouth pain for over a month from her bad dentistry and ina y to adjust partials

Had a lovely experience with Dr. Gupta. I had a terrible toothache and upon coming in found out it was an infection. She looked at it right away and got me antibiotics (next door, no less) and advised me to take some painkillers at a certain dosage. It helped really quickly and no longer have the issue. Very short wait line and overall efficient experience.

I hate this place. The dentist herself was ok - but the assistant was terrible. I brought my 5 yr. old son in - he was terrified - she did nothing to help him, but kept yelling at him and making him feel worse. We had appointments here for our other 2 kids which I promptly cancelled. At one point I was encouraging my son to do what she was saying - she turned and said "I'll give the instructions." DON'T GO HERE.

They are a bunch of CROOKS. My experience with them was SEVEN years ago and I still get upset when I think about what they put me through. They owed me over $800 and made me jump through hoops to get it back. It was UNBELIEVABLE. After reading these reviews, I'm now also questioning the root canal they said I "needed." We should all try to do something about this practice and get their license revoked.

I went there for too many years (9) because, like others, they were the only game in town that were considered 'in network'. I'm not usually one to complain about the services provided by anyone... I'm just not that 'person'. On the outside it is a nice and clean looking office. On the inside there is an extremely high turn over for the dental hygienists- going for my cleanings, I'm not sure I ever saw the same hygienist twice. And they took xrays, for every visit I had... including at my 6month cleanings! I had a molar with problems, so I was given a crown... then the tooth went bad and I was told I needed a root canal... I refused to get the root canal and wanted the tooth removed instead (it was a back most molar and my wisdom tooth would just replace it anyway- which it did), but I felt that I had to fight to maintain my position about what I wanted for my body. This was not the last time. Every time I went for a cleaning, I had to go through the same argument in which I had to defend my position about NOT having a procedure done that I felt was completely unnecessary (these teeth NEVER bothered me!). It was exhausting to have to go through this at every visit. They did some fillings on my teeth b/c they claimed it would protect my teeth where the gums were receding... they did four and at least two fell out within a week. I was later told by my new dentist that my gums were NOT receding, and that this should not have been done to me. I couldn't take it anymore... I switched over to an out of network dentist... who of course said they have had many patients from Cayuga Family Dental with similar complaints of unnecessary procedures being performed. I would rather deal with handling my own claim filing (which turns out to not be that hard at all) and possibly higher rates of a out of network dentist than ever go back there, ever.

Don't go here. I had 5 crowns placed by Dr. Gupta. I recently moved to another city and changed dentists. New dentist is telling me all the crowns are not properly fitted, which is making my gums bleed. I developed 2 infections on teeth that she placed crowns on and now I not only have to re-do the root canals but also replace the crowns. She charged me an exorbitant amount of money for 5 crowns and other fillings..which I happily paid thinking she'd do a good job..she didn't. Just go somewhere else, I recommend Thomas Shields. He was a great dentist, unfortunately I only got to see him once since I relocated soon after I found him. He gave me a fair evaluation on the state of my mouth, which my new dentist that I fully trust, confirmed. Dr. Shields referred me to dr. Timothy Boniwell for an implant, which is also a great doctor in the area. My new dentist confirmed that the implant placed by Boniwell was properly done. Good luck!

Worst experience ever. Went there for x-rays to see what I needed done. Without talking to me they leaned back in a chair and started giving me shots to numb my gums (I should have said something here, my mistake, I just let them go to work). They then started drilling my teeth to "fill cavities". They said I had some like 13 cavities and needed two root canals (which in the end I did need the root canals). However, they water-downed their Novocain, I felt a lot of pain and kept telling them and they told me I was imagining it! After that horrible experience, and getting like two filled (which ended up hurting because they did a really bad job, I asked for the x-rays to get a second opinion. They did give me the x-rays (after charging me $6 for them!). I got my second opinion. They agreed I needed root canals, however, they didn't think I had near as many cavities as they told me. However, I still needed to go back because I needed a cleaning and it was the only place that took my insurance. However, they revisited care to me because I got a second opinion. They claimed "they only wanted me to have one primary doctor so they didn't want me to go there." I told them they were my only primary but they wouldn't listen. I never went back and since then have warned many more people about them. They are cooked, they are dishonest, and they are cheap (watering down their Novocain). Never go there, spend the money and go somewhere else. If you go there, bring a hidden camera so you can have everything on film when they mess you up.
