Dr. Rabice has a gentle hand. His caring and concern especially about my health issues made me feel very comfortable and trusting. He has given me my smile back! One I am confident in showing! I did not feel treated any different for my insurance that changed due to the health complications. I have had nothing but positive experiences there . I am very happy with my experience and treatment!

I went here because I had Fidelis at the time and Rabice is one of the few general Dentists in this area that participates with Fidelis. Him, Valley Dental, Vista Dental, and MVHS were the only ones I was aware of at the time and Rabices office got me in relatively quick. However, I did not receive top notch care and Sanela his long time office manager didn't remember to send my antibiotic over. I was in so much pain. When I returned to the office to wrap things up with my root canal I was treated so carelessly by Dr Rabice himself that I ended up pulling over on Genesee St upset and crying. I didn't understand why a Dr, especially one that has practiced so many years, would be able to mistreat a patient without any hesitancy or regret. It was like he was a robot, numb to emotion and out of control. Sanela was equally as awful. I saw he had a couple new favorable reviews, with the volume of Fidelis patients combined with patients with private insurance, the guy certainly isn't taking "a cut" by accepting Fidelis/Dentaquest/Healthplex. If he was, well he wouldn't bother. At the end of the day it's just a business and he's just a greedy business owner. Not a good person.

Don't bother trying to make a apt to see the doctor all that's ever said is we can get you in sooner if we schedule a cleaning then he can pop in to see you during that time. Which only "if he has time" is key here cause he doesn't come in. Don't cancel a apt if your sick cause they charge $50 for that and Alex the "office manager" will get on the phone not introduce herself in a professional way after not being told your being transferred only put on hold. To say "hi this is Alex what is your problem" it is the most unprofessional money seeking lack of care for patients office I have ever encountered.

THE ONLY DENTIST IN THE AREA WHO CAN GET ME NUMB. (WITHOUT SEDATION) I never leave reviews. But this is worthy of it. I've worked with 6 other dentists' offices over the past 3 years to get very deep cavity fillings done. Each visit has ended in tears from intense pain and numbing not being done to the extent it was needed. (Which caused dental anxiety, unfinished dental work, leaving holes in my teeth untreated from failed dental work and prolonging treatment, which led to further work needing to be done, and a search for dental work to be done under sedatives) Unfortunately, my insurance will not cover sedation at the dentists for fillings. Dr. Rabice got every spot that needed to be numbed today for a VERY deep filling that had gone untreated for year's and worked so efficiently to make sure I was comfortable during the filling procedure and I felt absolutely no pain for the first time getting dental work done of that extent. I seriously am thankful for the expertise and incredible work Dr. Rabice did today as I no longer fear dental work after today know I'm in good hands going forward. Thank you to Dr. Rabice and his team!!!

Okay everyone, especially those that look at reviews for a practice before you schedule. So here we are... The negative reviews on here are really not the true experience. Those negatives? Are people who really don't understand their own insurance. Here's an HONEST review. 1) Be prepared to know prior what your individual insurance accepts or denies. 2) It's an extremely busy practice so expect long wait times or a reschedule. BECAUSE Dr. LR is one of the only remaining practices on the planet that accepts insurance from "the poor". He takes a loss every single time. You should be honored to even get an appointment. 3) The wait times are also long because, my goodness, I have never ever had the most detailed cleaning, time to speak of my concerns, ability to ask so many questions and have them answered. This practice TAKES THEIR TIME WITH EACH and EVERY client. I felt like I was finally being HEARD. So ya, you may have to wait? Yet trust me. When you time is in? They do NOT rush you or make you feel like you are in a "turnstile clinic" only out for their "bucks". There is a DELAY that can add up from client to client as they treat each client as it's their only one at that time! Those other negative reviews? Should be ignored COMPLETELY. 4) From the very first call to the office to schedule, through the check in, and to the check out? The most professional and courteous staff. Ya, per the one review about masking, the front end staff aren't really masked up, but look at it in a reality. You take your mask off to have your teeth worked on right? And the front end still has plastic barrier. Plus Your dental hygienist and Dr. LR are masked completely. So wear your mask in the waiting room as they require and stop being so misinformed about the true state of Covid protocols at this time. 5) I have been "dental shopping " to find a qualified dentist. I've been though hell. One dentist didn't even have a dental hygienist and never even cleaned my teeth! But he said I needed flap surgery. The next one? They told me I needed a deep cleaning which would also include anesthesia... I felt like a needed a third opinion. Now keep in mind, I never mentioned any of that to Dr. LR or his team prior. I only mentioned those things AFTER I was seen. And they said, that's all unnecessary. They provided me with a fluoride treatment for my receding gums and also set up an appointment for an impression because I've been having headaches and it's because I've been grinding my jaw. They diagnosed it! And made sure my insurance covered it.I do not need new fillings and surgery. So whomever on this thread stated that they are out for money? Isn't a true review. Because if they were? They could have taken me for three new fillings and $1500 in "deep cleaning" that my insurance would have PAID. 6) This practice is the real deal and can be absolutely trusted. Call with your insurance ready and YOU should make sure what you are eligible for and what is allowed. That's NOT THEIR responsibility. 7) Per the negative review about office times. Don't be late. And do not cancel. They are busy and YOU need to respect that. PS. No family affiliation, not a sponsored review. Just the most honest review of this amazing practice that I have had the grace to finally find. PSS. The location of the building is on busy Genesee Street. Tip, depending which way you are coming down or up Genesee, if you are looking at the building, pull into the drive on the LEFT of it. Plenty of parking in the back. If a new patient? Lots of paperwork so arrive about 20 minutes early with your insurance card and all your digits. Expect to be seen and have your XRays first ( and they have all the new X-ray technology) then be placed in the waiting room AGAIN to await your cleaning. Expect about an hour? I'm almost hesitant to place this review as I might not be able to be seen. for like ever, if y'all start booking haha But hey, we are all in this together to find quality care in our area. Give them a call. They listen. Very pleased, beyond my expectations.

Stay away from this place. First thing Dr. Rabice asks is what insurance you have. Constantly rescheduling confirmed appointments at the last minute. If you don't have the best insurance, consider yourself a burden to them. My advice, there are better dentists out there, don't go to this office.

Recommend for people that have dental anxiety. Staff and dental hygienist made me feel at ease, very clean and efficient. Any and all my questions/concerns were genuinely answered and explained. Hard to find supportive caring dentists these days. I will be returning definitely with them!!

I am a new patient there, and when the dental hygienist was going over things she was so mean and cold. And for one pretty much told me if you're poor, good luck. On one topic I discussed what things were Hereditary, and some things I told her I couldn't remember and I could ask my mother as she recently passed away. So she ended up suggesting a treatment elsewhere, when I told her my mother went thru that treatment and it did no good she told me my mother was uneducated and it was an uneducated thing to say. I cannot tell you the rage I felt, I wanted to knock her out. I honestly don't know if I'll ever go back there, for that alone. Idc how long she's been doing that job, learn some bedside manner!!

With a multitude of dental office choices within Utica. It would be my strong recommendation that this office be the very last of your considerations. The office manager would be the primary reason for this recommendation. Very unprofessional, constant rescheduling of appointments among other reasons. One instance of this unprofessional service. The office will review your available annual insurance allowances and recommend services in order to exhaust these funds. When it's realized that your yearly allowances have been extinguished, you will receive no further calls for appointments, nor any follow up services until the following year. This office at the objective of the office manager is run heartlessly, for the purpose of separating individuals from their funds, not their dental issues. Please review other reviews and you will find a common theme relating to the office manager. I encourage an individual to choose a different dentist in Utica. Don't start a medical relationship with those that don't have your care and wellbeing at the forefront of their service to you.

Outstanding experience with Dr. Rabice. I was taken in for an emergency appointment very quickly. The work was done extremely carefully, my mouth and gums weren't even sore after the novocaine wore off! Very happy with every result I have ever had from this establishment! Definitely worth considering

Be prepared for your first appointment to be only x-rays.And then be prepared for your second appointment to be only a teeth cleaning even if you don't want or require one...... That's part of his yacht payment.... Steer clear of this money pit

I offer tremendous jeers at this absolutely despicable "practice." Imagine a medical office where every decision is guided by greed, and the welfare of its patients takes a back seat to the whims of staff, and of course the almighty dollar. Cancelling patient's appointments who have second rate insurance, in order to accommodate those with higher paying insurance is commonplace. Expect your appointments to be cancelled at a moment's notice by exceptionally rude staff. Assume that any treatment recommended by Rabice will serve first to line his pockets. Think twice about any employment "opportunities" here, and most of all, steer clear of the diabolical office manager Sanela. Do yourself, your health, and your wallet a favor, and give this place a wide berth.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Rabice for three years. We are very satisfied with the services provided and with the professionalism of the staff. Unfortunately, today November 24, 2020 I was a victim of discrimination at this ...
