Dr. Lori Auster loves how dentistry enables her to combine her passion for being an artist with her heartfelt compassion for peoples health. She graduated from the prestigious NYU College of Dentistry and completed a comprehensive post-doctorate residency at Montefiore. Dr. Auster is equally gratified of her accomplishments in pharmacology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. While there, she was a cancer researcher who discovered the mechanism by which the drug Taxol worked to kill breast cancer cells. This led to clinical trials of Tamoxifen, which is the worlds leading anti-cancer drug for breast cancer.
Dr. Auster takes pride in delivering the level of care that she would want for herself and her own family. That is why she is such an excellent listener and her approach to dentistry is so customized to the specific needs of the patient. Her practice is equipped with the latest state-of the art technology. This enables her to deliver cutting-edge care, while still focusing on her relationship with her patients.
A priority for Dr. Auster is attending continuing education seminars, courses and study groups. It is extremely important to her to bring the latest advances in dentistry back to her patients. While she is a member of many professional organizations listed below, and has an extensive professional network, what she values most are the relationships that she has cultivated with her patients through the years. Dr. Auster recognizes how fortunate she is that her patient relationships have led to long-standing mutual admiration and respect.
Dr. Auster maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, Greater New York Dental Society, Northeast Gnathological Society and participates in lectures offered by the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics.
Debra is our Office Manager; she enjoys working in the dental field and finds it to be a challenging and rewarding career. In her 28 years of experience, she has been involved in many aspects of dentistry including being a Dental Assistant, Insurance/Treatment coordinator, managing the front desk, accounts receivable clerk, and office manager. Continuing her education is very important to her. Debra attends courses each year in order to provide exceptional service, but above all, she cherishes the relationships made with patients over the years. She enjoys being part of Dr. Austers wonderful team, and the care Dr. Auster gives her patients. When Debra is not at the office working she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to country music, and vacationing in the Caribbean.
Annie is our Dental Assistant she has been working along side with Dr. Auster 32 of her 42 years of experience. Annie loves working with Dr. Auster and the friendship that they have developed through the years.She is also lucky to be with such wonderful teammates that make the office run smoothly and efficiently. It gives her great pleasure seeing the smiles of our patients after treatment is completed. During Annie's spare time she enjoys cooking up new recipes and spending time with family.
April has devoted almost 30 years to the dental profession in Westchester County. True dedication to the health and well being of each and every patient makes her passionate about her career. 'The best part of my work day is building meaningful relationships with the patients in my care,' she says. 'I pride myself in providing the most comfortable and pain-free experience by genuinely listening to my patients. This allows me to address their concerns by customizing treatment to their individual needs.' She also enjoys teaching the next generation of dental hygienists as an adjunct clinical instructor at SUNY Orange. When April isn 't brightening up smiles, she 's volunteering, traveling, biking, and cooking.
Monika was born and raised in Poland. While there, she attended the University of Science and Technology in Krakow. She completed her B.S. in Engineering.Monika then attended a CUNY dental hygiene program and received her degree in Dental Hygiene. She is also licensed in the administration of Nitrous Oxide and Local Infiltration Anesthesia.Aside from treating patients with upmost care and compassion, Monika enjoys spending time with her family and cats.Some of her hobbies include traveling and baking delicious treats !
