Dr. Lisa Lear was once again recognized by her peers as one of Tucsons Top Periodontists. She has lived and practiced in Tucson for over 25 years. She is a board certified periodontist, Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Lear was born and raised in Indiana and graduated in 1983 from Indiana University, Bloomington with a Bachelor of Arts, Double Major in Chemistry and Biology. She attended the Indiana University School of Dentistry, Indianapolis receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery with honors in oral medicine and research in 1987, and her Specialist in Periodontics Certificate and Master of Science in Dentistry with a minor in Oral Pathology in 1990.
Dr. Lear is committed to education and learning! She is a Board Director and a Past President of the Pima Dental Study Club, and leads one of the national Spear Study Clubs in Tucson. She hosted an Implant Synergy Training Program for dentists in 2009 2010. Dr. Lear has lectured extensively on gum recession and its treatment.
She was a clinical instructor of Periodontics at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Dr. Lear is constantly learning the latest and innovative techniques to provide state-of-the-art care. Implants, periodontal cosmetic and regenerative procedures are a major part of her practice.
Dr. Lear is a Fellow in the American College of Dentists and a Fellow in the International College of Dentists. She is a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Academy of Periodontology, the Western Society of Periodontology and the American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Lear has held multiple leadership positions in the Southern Arizona Dental Society, serving as President in 1999, and the Arizona Dental Association, serving as President in 2014. She led the Arizona Dental Association House of Delegates as Speaker of the House from 2009 to 2012. She has represented Arizona dentists as a Delegate to the American Dental Association since 2012. As President of the Arizona Dental Association, she started a leadership development program and a Mentor of the Year Award to encourage mentorship to new dentists. In 2016, she was awarded Arizona Dental Associations Dentist of the Year for outstanding contributions to dentistry in Arizona. And in 2017, Dr. Lear received the Mentor of the Year Award.

I recommend Dr. Lisa Lear and her Staff for the very Detailed and Exacting work. I went to Dr. Lear for the first time over sixteen years ago, I had some very complicated Periodontal issues. Dr. Lear explained every step of the operations completely. I am a member of the military so I am evaluated annually for Deployment. All of the Dental examiners who saw me over the years were equally Impressed with the work she performed. If you are apprehensive about Periodontal work, you need to see Dr. Lisa Lear.

This office has a great attention to detail The doctor and staff care about each patient. This office is a 10. The hygiene department is simply the best . I fell asleep during my appointment listening to the beautiful music. The view is awesome, as well. The Hygienist is very delicate with a good touch and is full of great tips on how to keep my mouth clean.

It's hard to say that you enjoy going to see a Periodontist, but I really don't mind. Except for the drive. Dr. Lear and staff are very professional and take great notes on everything. Everything they do is explained in detail and what procedure(s) being performed will accomplish. I can recommend Dr. Lear to all.
