Dr. Wilson established her private practice in the Indian Springs area of north Shelby County in September of 1990. She recently built a new facility where she continues to provide preventive, restorative and cosmetic services that now include invisible braces and single visit crowns. She is conveniently located in the Oak Mountain School district and has provided custom mouthguards to both the high school and middle school athletes. She sponsors many activities associated with area schools and colleges.
Dr. Lisa Wilson earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, continuing on to the University of Alabama School of Dentistry to earn her Doctorate degree in June of 1990. She served on the faculty at the school from 1991-1994, and continues her relationship with the school as the advisor to the professional fraternity, Psi Omega. Dr. Wilson is a member of the Birmingham District Dental Society, Alabama Dental Association, American Dental Association, the Academy of CAD/CAM Dentistry and Psi Omega Fraternity. She updates her education through local, regional, and national education courses annually.

Dr. Wilson's office gives back to the community by annually collecting non-perishable food items for the United Way Food Bank and by providing Christmas items for a local family in need every year. During the month of February, Dr. Wilson's staff members provide educational presentations to local area schools for National Dental Health month. They also participate in the Kids Smile-a-Thon at the dental school, provide Easter eggs for the Indian Springs Village Annual Egg Hunt, and donate supplies for mission trips.

She refused to treat my pain. She gave me a NSAID which blew my BP up to 188 110. I called several times to get relief and was blown off. Do not use this DMD

I have been going to Dr. Wilson's office for over 15 years. Never have I trusted a medical professional more than I do Dr. Wilson and her team. Dr. Wilson will always make sure that any dental work done on your teeth is done right and if not, she will always fix it. I seriously could not recommend her office enough.

We have been patients of Dr. Wilson's for about 25 years and would not go to anyone else. We even moved to Florida for 8 years and continued to come back to Birmingham for her to take care of our dental needs! She is the best!!

On my first visit which lasted over an hour, I felt like I was receiving a sales pitch more than being treated by a caring professional. I was there simply for a routine x-ray and cleaning, both of which were covered under my medicare provider. X-rays were done, but they refused to do the cleaning, choosing to spend the rest of my visit trying to up-sell me on a deep cleaning which was not covered by insurance BEFORE they would do the covered cleaning. So they spent 15 minutes of actual work and 45 minutes of sales pitch wasting my time. I might add that none of my previous dentists had seen the necessity for this procedure. I will not return.
