Dr. Lopatin has a true passion for dentistry. She graduation from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1984. She is a member of The Francis Vedders Society, The Bunting Society, and Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity. She spends many hours each year attending continuing education seminars to learn the latest and most advanced technology for her patients. She is an Invisalign Certified Provider. Some of the recent seminars she has attended are American Academy of Sleep Dentistry Annual Meeting, Laser Dentistry and The Future of Dentistry.

Dr. Lopatin has lived in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan her whole life. She started practicing dentistry in a family practice in Clawson, Michigan after graduation, and in 1989 opened her practice in Troy, Michigan.

Besides dentistry, Dr. Lopatin enjoys golfing, biking, pastel painting, jewelry making, walking, and tile making. She has a passion for travel. She has been married to her husband Jay for over 30 years and they have 2 children, Scott and Sydney.

Dr. Bortman graduated from the University of Michigan in 2004. She received her D.M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2008. She then went on to residency at Advocate Illinois Hospital in Chicago. During her residency, Dr. Bortman received intense training in oral surgery procedures as well as the treatment of special needs patients. Dr. Bortman relocated to the suburbs of Detroit in 2010 with her husband. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry with an interest in cosmetic procedures. She practices with a patient centered focus and enjoys the lifelong relationships she develops with her patients.

Lisa began her 'Lopatin Dental Family' journey with us back in the 1980's and is happily back with us after a hiatus of raising her 3, now grown, children. Lisa attended Dental Vocational School in the 1980's and enjoys working in the dental/healthcare profession and taking care of patients. Some of Lisa's favorite things to do are spending time with her children, hiking, camping, golf, cooking, gardening, attending sporting events, concerts with friends and her dog Lexi.

Paula received her dental assisting training from Oakland Community College. She has worked in the field for 30+ years, both front desk and assisting, taking time off to raise her two children. She values the friends she has made in the practice over her 30 years with Dr. Lopatin. First working with Dr. Lopatins partner, Andrea Blum. After Dr. Blum relocated to California, she worked with the associates. She enjoys furthering her dental knowledge by taking continuing education courses to stay current on changes and advances in dentistry. She strives to make each patients dental experience a relaxed and positive one. I want you to have as much fun here as we do.

ChristL graduated from college in 1987 and received her degree in Applied Science and Dental Assisting. ChristL has been working as Dr. Lopatins assistant since 1989. Ive been very fortunate to have the pleasure of working with such wonderful women. In 2000 she went back to school to get her Diploma in Massage Therapy. From 1996 to 2007 she sold one-of-a-kind jewelry at Juried Art Fairs. As of 2008 ChristL started selling her photography and has phased out making jewelry. Gardening, traveling, cooking, photography, spending time with her partner in their Royal Oak home with 3 crazy cats is what makes her happy. Helping people feel good about themselves whether it be their smile or a massage is what I LOVE to do!

Leslie graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College in 1978. She worked the first 6 months in a large Periodontal Practice where she really learned the art of cleaning teeth. The ensuing years she has enjoyed working for Family Practice Dentists. Leslie is working continuously in Dental Hygiene, raising 3 boys, and operated ODay School of Dance. I love working with Dr. Lisa Lopatin and her staff. She has created a friendly professional environment for us to do our work.

Ashley graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy Dental Hygiene School in 2003. She started working for Dr. Lopatin in 2005. She attends several continuing education classes where she stays current on hygiene topics. She is busy on her down time running after her two beautiful children.

Julie graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy Dental Hygiene School in 2003. She started here at Dr. Lopatin's Office when Ashley was on maternity leave in 2013. Julie has a busy life with 5 children. They keep her busy with Hockey games, gymnastic meets and equestrian show.
