Dr. Lisa was born December 11, 1963 at the U.S. Air Force Base in Lakenheath, England. She was the second of two children, (brother Mark), born to her fighter pilot father, Duane, and school teacher mother, Diane. The family soon moved back to the U.S., and Dr. Lisa grew up primarily in the far northwest suburban communities of Carol Stream and Crystal Lake, After graduation from Crystal Lake High School in 1982, Dr. Lisa attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. In 1986, she graduated with a degree in Biology.
She continued her education at the University of Illinois in Chicago where she earned her Doctorate in Dental Science with honors in 1990. Dr. Lisa completed her scholastic education at Northwestern University's School of Orthodontics, graduating in 1992.
Since her graduation from Northwestern, Dr. Lisa has practiced orthodontics for the last 26 years in the Chicagoland area. In 1996, she opened a practice in Orland Park, where she has since practiced. Dr. Lisa currently resides in Homer Glen, with her husband, John, an attorney, and two children: Johnny and Emma.
Our CHAIR SIDE STAFF are individuals trained in the more technical procedures of the application of braces, monthly adjustments and removal. As a patient, you will get to know them well. We are pleased to be able to have these staff members work with us during your care. They too, can answer many of your questions in addition to providing you with a wealth of knowledge on the care and adjustment of your braces.
Our LAB TECHNICIAN works on site. This highly trained person allows us tocontrol the quality of our removable appliances. This is not usually possible in many offices where the appliances are sent to outside labs. It also allows us much quicker turn-around time on all appliances, which need to go to the lab for work.

Dr. Lisa Eckenstein and her staff are fabulous! My twins had their orthodontia work in the Orland Park Office and I give them the highest recommendation!! Dr Lisa is an exceptional orthodontist. My boys loved her!! The technology is so advanced within the first month the teeth shift so much more quickly. My one son had to come in and get the wire trimmed multiple times and the staff was so accommodating!! We lived 7 minutes from her office and I was so glad we choose Dr Lisa!! Close, excellent service and beautiful straight teeth!! Thank you Dr Lisa and to all that helped and worked on my twins!! Erika Carter

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Lisa and her team! They are all outstanding, and so nice every time you come here. Everyone remembers my name, and greets me every time I come here. They are also extremely helpful financially. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an amazing orthodontist.

We are very pleased with our services from Dr. Lisa. I've had 2 children with braces, one regular and one Invisalign. Our appointments are always quick, and able to be scheduled before or after school (for no additional charge). Our third child has now started, and we continue to be pleased.

Having 3 daughters being treated at the Orland Park office, I can't say enough good things about our experience. Dr. Lisa and her staff are very thorough & caring. From the first consultation with my oldest, to helping our very nervous & anxious youngest through early intervention issues, they have gone above & beyond my expectations. I'm grateful to the warm & welcoming staff that I encounter each appt and for all those in back for the care they have given my girls! I recently completed a seventeen month treatment with Dr. Lisa. I am extremely satisfied with the results as well as the service I received. I am in my mid 30's and having my teeth straightened was something that I always wanted to do, but never thought I would actually do it. Especially after several orthodontist consults and their recommendation of pulling my teeth to correct crowding. Dr. Lisa (my very last consult, in which I was referred by a co-worker) won me over when she explained that extracting my teeth would change my facial profile in a way that I wouldn't find pleasing. That's right! Dr. Lisa told me she could correct my crowding without extractions; she would file in between my teeth and create tiny spaces that would allow my teeth to fall in line! Genius! Within days following my consultation, I was sitting in one of Dr. Lisa's chairs initiating my treatment plan and getting my braces on. Anyone who visits the orthodontist for wire changing knows it's not much fun. However, visiting Dr. Lisa's offices is always a delight because there's always some type of raffle or contest going on where prizes are won and she serves all types of edible goodies for her clients to enjoy. Wearing braces on my teeth for seventeen months was definitely not one of my favorite experiences. However, Dr. Lisa and her staff seemed to go above and beyond to help me make the best of the situation. If you're looking for an orthodontist who is professional, engaged with her clients, has amazing staff, and gives you a beautiful smile, Dr. Lisa is your best choice! Thank you Dr. Lisa and your wonderful staff!!!!
