Dr. Leon is a Board Certified Periodontist. She graduated with honors from Cayetano Heredia University Dental School in Lima, Peru. She continued her education at the University of Maryland Dental School and graduated from a 2 year program in Advance Education in General Dentistry. She received her periodontal training including a Masters degree in Oral Biology from Louisiana State University. During her residency, she completed her research in bone grafts and immediate dental implants. Dr. Leon has taught advanced courses in Periodontics at both the University of Maryland and Louisiana State University.
Dr. Leon is a member of both local and national professional organizations. She is the former president of The Greater Washington Academy of Women Dentists (GWAWD). She is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. She also participates in many continuing education courses to keep current with the rapidly progressing field of Dentistry, specifically Periodontics and Implants.

Dr Leon and your staff are excellent. She explain me very carefully my options to improve my dental problem. I am very happy to find Dr Leon for take care of my periodontist case.. I'm strongly recommend this office.

I had a horrible experience in her clinic. After she checked my teeth, she told me "you can swallow the it". I can not believe she asked me to swallow the blood stuff in my mouth. This is the first DD who asked me to do this. I doubt the health conditions in her clinic. Never never chose her again

I highly recommend Dr. Leon. She is patient, caring and throughly explains any concerns or issues that you may have. She even takes notes and remembers personal things about her patients - jobs, family etc. She is truly the absolute best!
