Dr. Lauren Brownfield offers her clientele a wide range of treatment options, from periodontics and implants, to aesthetic smile design, taking pride in always providing the highest quality of care. Her practice philosophy is to maintain and create healthy as well as beautiful smiles for her patients in a welcoming and compassionate environment. Dr. Brownfield is dedicated to continually expanding her clinical skills and equipping her office with state-of-the-art technology. She utilizes a piezoelectric surgical unit, and is certified in both oral and IV sedation, in the interest of patient comfort. She and her staff are very excited to be serving the greater-Houston community.
A native of the Houston area, Dr. Brownfield, completed her undergraduate work at The University of Texas at Austin with Honors. Following her undergraduate studies, she attended The University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch at Houston, where she received the Department of Prosthodontics Outstanding Achievement Award, was selected to participate in the DBEC Undergraduate Clinical Specialty Clerkship in Periodontics, and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. She then completed a three-year residency program in Periodontics and Implantology at UTHSC Dental Branch at Houston, where she received a Certificate in Periodontics and Conscious Sedation and a Master of Science degree.
She enjoys volunteering her time and dental skills to the underserved populations in Texas and abroad, in addition to serving as a faculty lecturer for the Department of Graduate Periodontics at the UTHSC Dental Branch. Dr. Brownfield also takes pleasure in clinical research, with experience in studies evaluating ridge preservation, bone healing, and implants. She recently presented at the American Academy of Periodontologys (AAP) annual meeting in Hawaii and was selected as a finalist for the John F. Prichard Prize where she will present at the Southwest Society of Periodontists winter meeting in Dallas.
Dr. Brownfields is an active member of the Greater Houston Dental Society (GHDS), Texas Dental Association (TDA), American Dental Association (ADA), Greater Houston Society of Periodontists (GHSP), Southwest Society of Periodontists (SWSP), American Academy of Periodontology (AAP). She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (ABP) and is an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO), where she also serves on the Young Clinicians Committee and will soon be published in the newsletter. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, friends and family, as well as traveling, and training for the Houston Half Marathon.

Dr. Lauren Brownfield operates an excellent dental practice. She is outstanding in her special field of Periodontology and implantology. Dr. Brownfield is extremely professional, yet friendly and takes the time to thoroughly explain her findings about your dental situation. (And her personal phone call to see how you are doing after surgery is amazing and so reassuring. ) She gives you every confidence in her ability to perform procedures. Her office assistants are amazing in preparing you for procedures. Going to the dentist especially for extensive dental work is often worrisome to say the least, but Dr Brownfield and her group ease that feeling. I highly recommend Dr. Brownfield.

Dr. Brownfield represents state of the art in her execution of surgery, oversight, & specialized dental care for all ages. She is meticulous about patient education & provides an environment of safety & quality at the highest level. I'm impressed with her regular communications with other dental & orthodontic providers also. The Texas Dental specialists team is equally attuned to patient care & detail. This office is the gold standard for a top notch practice & sets the bar for the future.

Not an ethical office. Dental assistants careful with working interviews; Dr.Brownfield will find a loop hole to not pay you. Also, they have new staff every few months, nobody is on the same page as far as communicating.

I had a great experience with Dr. Brownfield. She is not only a superb dental surgeon, she is a compassionate, caring person. She called me from home the night after my procedure to make sure I was ok. She urged me to call her if I had questions or concerns. Her staff members are to a person professional, warm and friendly. It doesn't hurt that her office is designed in excellent, up to date taste. She will lay to rest all of your fears of going to the dentist.

I was referred to Dr. Lauren Brownfield by my dentist (Dr. Susan Latimer). I am 100% satisfied with the expertise and care I received, and I recommend Dr. Brownfield without reservations. I required periodontal surgery that included a bone graft and a gum graft. It was uncertain if my tooth would be saved, and Dr. Brownfield made sure I understood my options and potential outcomes. The surgery itself went very well. I left her office with a full complement of post-operative instructions and Dr. Brownfield called me personally to make sure I was OK. The level of discomfort was minimal and short lived. The bone graft took six months for a full recovery. During this time, several post-operative follow-up visits were scheduled and Dr. Brownfield's care and concern were evident throughout. Six months later, my tooth is firmly seated and feels normal. Thank you, Dr. Brownfield!

I have been a patient of Dr Lauren Brownfield's for over three years. I first came into her office with badly receding lower front gums and needing an implant. She has done an incredible job on my gum grafts/lift and implant. My gums look fantastic -- her painless restoration has turned back time. I have recommended her skilled surgical expertise to many.

I was referred to Dr. Brownfield by a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry who also happens to be a trusted friend and valued client. I have found Dr. Brownfield and her staff to be nothing but polite, professional and considerate. I have had several major procedures and amazingly, I have never experienced any pain that could not be controlled by Ibuprofen. Dr. Brownfield has taken her time to explain procedures, possible consequences and has always been totally available after procedures to address any and all concerns. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
