Dr. Lana L. Mamut was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, a former USSR republic. She was 13 years old when her family relocated to the United States, settling in Atlanta, Georgia. Two decades later she continues to reside in the beautiful state of Georgia with her husband Pavel and their son Benjamin.
In 1996 Dr. Mamut graduated Salutatorian of her class from Berkmar High in Lilburn, Georgia. While at Berkmar she had completed several internships at local dental practices, where she acquired her passion for dentistry.
Dr. Mamut completed her undergraduate studies at Oglethorpe University in 2000, receiving her B.S. in Biology with Magna Cum Laude honors. While at Oglethorpe she was recognized for numerous academic achievements that earned her Presidential Scholarship, Governors Scholarship, and seven Deans List placements.
Prior to opening Family Dentistry of Forsyth in Summer of 2010, Dr. Mamut held an associate dentist position at Jones Bridge Dental Care in Alpharetta, Georgia with Dr. Leo Yelizarov. Dr. Mamut actively participates in community affairs, providing volunteer dental care for underprivileged patients during numerous Dentistry From The Heart and FREE Dentistry Day events.
Dr. Mamut strives to offer the finest dental care to her patients. She is an active member of American Dental Association (ADA), Georgia Dental Association (GDA), and Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). She is on track to achieve fellowship and mastership status in the AGD through continued dental education. In her spare time Dr. Mamut enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Amazing doctor and staff! Super professional and careful. Very thoughtful and thorough. Office is clean and beautiful. Our whole family goes to see Dr. Lana. We had, crowns, fillings and cleaning done here.

Dr Mamut was willing to work with my special needs son after he aged out of pediatric dentistry. Dr Lana Mamut and the hygienist (also Lana) were so kind and patient. I've been going to Dr Mamut for over a decade and I highly recommend her.

Amazing doctor and staff! Super professional and careful. Very thoughtful and thorough. Office is clean and beautiful. Our whole family goes to see Dr. Lana. We had, crowns, fillings and cleaning done here.

NEVER GO HERE.... I consulted this doctor for my wife's tooth ache and she suggested root canal. Since she do not want to loose the teeth and could not bear the pain, we did not even get time for a second opinion, we did with root canal there. Root canal process itself was too painful. On next appointment when we visited for crowning the teeth, it was not suiting her teeth. Again another 10 days wait and came back with temporary covering. In a few days this temporary covering started wiggling and she has to go for another appointment to fix the temporary cover. Another 10 days wait for the real crown to be fixed and finally by God's grace the real crown is fixed. It was so painful for my wife to change this on every appointment. Keeping mouth open for so long each time a temporary crown is removed and fixed itself is tiring. Moreover they try to charge on each visit by saying there was some previous due though you get already agreed in the first visit with a stipulated amount they provided and signed. But we refused to give and then they came up with the conclusion that it was administrative mistake. They are real money suckers with no value. NEVER AGAIN THERE...BEWARE

Great office! I have always been very particular chosing dentists and I am so impressed with the staff and the doctor. I drive an hour and a half to come to this office. Highly recommended!!

Love Dr. Lana! The staff is welcoming and friendly, service is awesome, and they really care about you as a patient. Dr. Lana did some cosmetic work for me, too and I love her attention to detail! Highly recommend!

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Lana for over 5 years. She is the only dentist we trust. A perfectionist, she will not let you leave until she and you are 100% completely satisfied with her services. Her crown work is beyond comparison and she always gives you her undivided attention, spending time to answer questions without making you feel rushed. She has a gentle demeanor, extreme attention to detail, and a warm smiling personality that makes her patients want to come back. The office is very comfortable, clean and updated decoratively as well as functionally, with state of the art equipment. Office staff is friendly and competent and goes out of their way to help with insurance issues and questions. We won't go anywhere else.

I like the whole staff, the way they treat, talk and care was awesome. Waiting time was under 2min, Dr lana gave more then enough time to listen me and making me understand about how treatment will work. They have an option to fill up all the paper work online which saved my time too One of the best doctor i have ever meet.

Came here as a new patient and was extremely pleased with my first visit. Dr. Lana and her team are wonderful, very friendly and made be comfortable. Dr. Lana and her assistant will explain in a very nice way and they don't rush to discuss about your concerns. Front desk and her assistants are friendly and knowledgable. I would highly recommend for any dental needs.
