In August of 2010, I married the love of my life, Kelly. We have been blessed by our two greatest treasures, our daughters Allison (2017) and Olivia (2019). Together, we enjoy hiking, playing golf and going to Sounders FC matches. Currently, I am a member of the Seattle-King County Dental Society, Washington State Dental Association, American Dental Association, and am Associate Director of the Southshore branch of the prestigious Seattle Study Club.

By staying up-to-date with the latest research and technology, and combining that with tried-and-true methods, I strive to achieve the highest level of quality the dental profession has to offer. I believe the key to that quality is communication. Working with patients on an individual basis to develop a treatment plan that suits their specific needs and desires is the approach that I believe will best serve the people of Covington and the surrounding area. Together, you and I can achieve and sustain a healthy, beautiful smile.

My name is Janet and I am dedicated to assisting and educating you towards achieving optimum oral health. My dental adventure began working after school for a pediatric dentist learning chair side assisting as well as front office duties.

This early passion in dentistry encouraged me to pursue a dental education, whereas I received my Associate Dental Hygiene degree from Pierce College and my Bachelor of Dental Hygiene Science degree from Eastern Washington University. I thoroughly love my career as a dental hygienist! My patients become members of my dental family as I learn about their lives, families, careers and adventures. Since graduating, I am a proud member of both the Washington State Dental Hygienists' Association and the American Dental Hygienists' Association. I continually attend dental courses, both local and afar to ensure I offer my patients the most up to date information in oral health care management. In addition, I have the amazing opportunity to travel to Guatemala on dental mission trips with the WIND organization and bring dental resources to people in need. Also, I am a graduate of the Comprehensive Introductory Course to Orofacial Myotherapy. I am always interested to share my knowledge regarding developmental anatomy/physiology and the relationship to dental, speech, breathing, oral habits and the interaction of the orofacial complex from birth.

I have greatly enjoyed my career and position as a dental hygienist at Covington Family Dental since 1995, first for Dr. Ken Russell followed by Dr. Kyle Blair (Dr. Russell's nephew). In my personal time, I enjoy distance running, cycling, hiking along with gardening, travel and active adventures. I keep very busy with family time, which includes my husband, married children and grandchildren.

Hi, I'm Alina and my goal is to serve you with optimum care & comfort! My love for dentistry began as a dental assistant, and led me to continue my education in dental hygiene from Lake Washington Technical Institute in Kirkland, Washington.

I am passionate about providing the highest standard of care and promoting oral health. Helping you achieve your perfect smile is the best part of my job! When not helping patients, I enjoy spending time with my husband, David, my daughter Everly (2020), and Pomeranian, Stella. We love to travel, and spend our free time outdoors camping, biking, and snowboarding.

I completed my Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana before completing my Dental Hygiene degree from Pierce College in Tacoma, Washington. I am proud to be a dental hygienist. I attend continuing education courses in order to treat my patients with the highest standard of care. I am an active member of my dental hygiene associations, whereas I am currently serving as Secretary for the Washington State Dental Hygienists' Association. In my time away from the office, I enjoy training for marathons, hiking, camping, cooking as well as spending time with my family. I look forward to meeting you and sharing my enthusiasm for oral health!

Hello! My name is Janel and I'm excited to learn about your dental needs and help you achieve your goals. I first encountered dentistry as an orthodontic lab assistant at age 16. I was able to work after school learning how to fabricate retainers. This ignited a passion for dentistry in me and I was hooked!

Later, while raising my children I was fortunate enough to work as an Instructional Assistant for children with special needs. This instilled my love for teaching and reinforced the compassion and understanding when helping individuals and their unique needs.

Dentistry has been a lifelong dream and I decided to become a hygienist to combine my life experience with my passion. I completed my Dental Hygiene degree from Pierce College in Ft. Steilacoom, Wa in 2015. Each year I attend continuing education courses and am a member of the national and local hygiene associations. This provides me opportunities to stay abreast of the highest standard of care for my patients. I love talking about teeth, gums, oral health, and each person's individual needs.

I was fortunate to have a wonderful family friend that was a dentist when I was a child who taught me how personally rewarding it is to help people to not only be comfortable, but enjoy their visit to the dentist. I'm able to do that here. We have a terrific team atmosphere. We all strive to give our best to each person we encounter. When I'm not here at the office I love spending time with my family. There's nothing like having the kids and grandkids over to the house for mealtime with myself and my husband. I also enjoy camping and the water, whether it is time on the lake in my husband's jet boat or splashing around in the beach waves. I am lucky enough to live here in the great Pacific Northwest where I can enjoy the outdoors. I look forward to seeing you here in the office!

When not at work, I 'm spending time with my high school sweetheart (Ari) and our fur babies. We like to go 'glamping' out in Tahuya, ride dirt bikes, and go swimming. My goal is to help make you feel like part of the family and leave with a smile.

We love to hike, travel, and spend time exploring the outdoors with our three dogs. As an assistant, I strive to ensure that patients feel comfortable and at ease during their dental visits. I believe that going to work holds something new and is an opportunity to make sure our patients feel comfortable and leave happy.

The team at this office are very patient and kind. My fear of dentistry is understood and they make every effort to keep me at ease and comfortable. I won't go anywhere else.

Dr. Kyle Blair and staff treat us like family. My 5 year old is excited to go to the dentist because she always gets a present out of the treasure box and every employee stops what they are doing and gives her individualized attention. I try to usher her along but they insist on talking with her. When you find a place that treats you like more than just a number, you stick with them!

I recently had a dental emergency, (broken front tooth at the gum-line), and where we live in Alaska we have limited dental care available. Dr. Blair was able to re-arrange his schedule to accommodate an immediate appointment so I could fly from Alaska, and he was able to stabilize the tooth, provide temporary care, and recommend the best options going forward involving specialized periodontal treatment. He works with some amazing implant specialists; and he was able to get them to also alter their appointment schedules to get me into see them immediately. His care and referral response and subsequent specialist treatment received was beyond expectations on short notice; I could not recommend Dr. Blair and his staff more highly!

Avoid at all costs. The office staff led me to believe that my insurance would cover most of my dental work, and we had conversations about it over several different office visits. Unknown to me, the insurance company had already told the staff a month ago that NONE of my major work would be covered. The office staff waited until AFTER all the procedures had been done, sent me a bill for $2245.00, and then blamed me for not knowing the intricacies of medical billing. This complete lack of ethics is a huge red flag, and you should avoid this clinic if you value your money. You deserve a dental clinic that doesn't lie to you, and has your best interests at heart. This clinic isn't it.
