Kuhn R. Marshall, DMD Dr. Marshall proudly followed in his fathers footsteps to become a dentist. He graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry in 1980. After graduation, he shared an office with his father while starting his own practice, and eventually, the practices merged. Dr. Marshall also volunteered for eleven years at the Creston Dental Clinic, which provides free dental care for those in need.His commitment to continuing education led to his training by Orthognathic Bioesthetic International (OBI). OBI-trained dentists know how to treat the symptoms and causes of broken and worn teeth. Dr. Marshall knows how to create harmony with all parts of your chewing system, which leads to successful and predictable dentistry.
Dr. Marshall has lived in Portland since he was a teenager, and he cannot imagine living anywhere else. He and his wife enjoy camping, hiking, mountain climbing and deep-sea diving in addition to spending time with their children and grandchildren.
R. Justin Tooke, DMD Dr. Tooke graduated from the Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine before moving to Portland. Prior to dental school, Dr. Tooke taught high school biology and chemistry for five years in Las Vegas. He is originally from a small town in southern Utah called Hurricane. He and his wife, who were high school sweet hearts, graduated from Southern Utah University in 1998.Dr. Tooke is a strong believer in preventive dental care and helping his patients keep their teeth for a lifetime. He is committed to working with patients to create an appropriate treatment plan to fit their needs.
He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, from which he received an award for excellence in cosmetic dentistry.
Elin Dental Hygienist Elin worked as a dental hygienist in San Francisco for two years before joining Heritage Dental in 2000. She feels fortunate to have the opportunity to provide quality dental hygiene care to patients. When she is not at work, she spends time with her daughter in addition to cooking, horseback riding, hiking and camping.
Christie Dental Hygienist Christie received her bachelors degree at Texas A&M University, her masters degree at Pacific University and her dental hygiene training at Clark College. She has been working as a dental hygienist for over eight years, and she does continuing education courses annually. Christie works hard to provide her patients with high-quality care and help them achieve oral health. In her free time, she enjoys spending time playing outdoors with her 2-year-old son, Bo.
Kelly Dental Hygienist Kelly attended Chabot Community College where she got degrees in biology and dental hygiene, graduating in 2018. She worked in California for three years before moving to Portland in 2020. Kelly is fascinated by the mouth-body health connection and hopes to contribute to greater health for all. Kelly is highly involved in her community and takes every opportunity to give back. When not in the office she can be found spending time with her puppy and lizards, and enjoys nature, food and painting.
Sharon Dr. Marshalls Assistant Sharon graduated from the Concorde Career Institute in 1997, and continues her training annually to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the dental field. She has been a dental assistant for 24 years, and is dedicated to helping her patients feel cared for and comforted while receiving treatment. Sharons favorite part of being a dental assistant is the amazing people she gets to serve on a daily basis. Sharon has two adult daughters who bring her great joy, and outside the office she can volunteers for several organizations, including Breast Friends, and is a member of the Pink Phoenix Dragon Boat Team.
Franki Dr. Tookes Assistant Franki graduated in 2004, and is dedicated to giving her patients the best possible care. She enjoys dentistry, including learning new procedures and assisting multiple doctors, and loves working with her team and having so many wonderful patients to care for.
Carrie Carrie received her biology degree from Eastern Oregon University, and she is currently pursuing her masters degree in human resources. She has been in dentistry since 2003. Carrie credits her stepfather and her mothera dentist and a dental assistant, respectively, who have retired after 41 years in dentistryfor inspiring her love of dentistry at a young age. She loves helping patients feel comfortable before and after treatment, and she makes it her goal to help patients understand their dental insurance plans. In her free time, she loves traveling with her husband and taking her nieces to the Portland Zoo.
Bridget Bridget started school at PCC, and then transferred to Concorde Career College to complete her certification in dental assisting. She has been working in dentistry since graduating in 2009. She transitioned to management of the dental office in 2015, and she attends continuing education courses to improve the function of the practice. Bridget has always loved helping her patients achieve their dental goals, and now she is able to assist them in overcoming the financial burden and stress of dealing with their dental insurance company. She is also grateful to be part of an office that appreciates all of their patients and makes everyone feel like family.Bridget married her best friend in 2014, and they have two boys together. She and her family love to attend sporting events, and they are big fans of the Portland Trail Blazers and the Oregon Ducks! They also love to explore Portland, and they enjoy being on the water during the summer and at the mountain in the winter.
