Dr. Kim Lucas Benton, was raised in San Francisco, CA. She is a general dentist in private practice in Daly City, CA. She is a graduate of Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry class of 1988. Initially, following graduation from Meharry, Dr Benton joined her father in private practice, and in 1998, after gaining considerable experience, she decided it was time to venture out on her own.
In 1994, Dr Benton joined the faculty at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni, School of Dentistry. She began her career as part-time clinical instructor in the Department of Oral Diagnosis and Treatment planning at the invitation of Dr. Peter Jacobsen. Dr Benton left Pacific Dugoni briefly in the year 2001 as her priorities in life changed. In the fall of 2010, she was a speaker host at the CDA for Dr. Alan Budenz. At the end of the day, Dr Budenz asked her when are you coming back? She returned in January of 2011 and is currently part-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Sciences. She truly enjoys working with her students and interacting with the outstanding faculty and staff.
Dr Benton received her Masters in Public Health in June 2018 from Capella University. Her focus is to create the awareness of the important connection between Diabetes and Oral Health in dental clinical settings and within our communities. She has done extensive research over the past four years and has come to realize that there is a huge disconnect with Oral Health and the systemic connection.

We love Dr. Benton and her team. The office is clean, professional, and welcoming. The staff is always helpful and warm. We just brought our 16 month old and they're great with toddlers, too. I cannot recommend Dr. Benton and her team enough. They're great!

Kim and her team are Welcoming and Wonderful, but, what's most important, they are Very talented professionals who manage to provide care for me that keeps me coming back to the office for check-ups and care. I had my first visit at Vista Pacific Dental on July 28th and I was so impressed with the excellent customer service provided by Nyssa and Hazel. They were both pleasant, friendly and professional. Dr. Kim Lucas Benton was very gentle and nice, too. I'm looking forward to visiting their clinic in the future.

Since my father was a pediatric dentist, I had never been to a real "adult" dentist until recently, when I went to Dr. Benton. She is wonderful, as is her front and back office staff. She helped me feel at ease, is so friendly and pleasant, and makes going to the dentist a breeze! I highly recommend her!

Dr. Kim Benton is the nicest! I was having the worst tooth and gum pain and didn't know where to go. My husband who used to be Dr. Benton's client decided to call her clinic. It was 7am and she was the one who answered the call, she was full that day but still tried her best to accomodate me. Honestly, I am not comfortable going to a dentist due to bad experience before but everything changes when I met her. She's very nice, knowledgeable and did her best to get the earliest appointment for my root canal therapy.

Dentistry done right! I hadn't been to see a dentist for at least 3 years. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Dr. Kim Lucas-Benton is by far the best dentist I've had. Dr. Lucas-Benton went through an extensive wellness check and discussed the importance of keeping healthy teeth. I need some dental work and I'm confident that I'm in the best hands. The cause of my pain was explained. In addition, Dr. Lucas-Benton outlined the next steps on how to relieve my pain and showed genuine support. I will never see another dentist for as long as I can.
