Shannon began her dental career over 15 years ago after graduating from The University of New England as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Along the way, she was able to enhance her experience in dentistry by takign on office manager responsibilities. Shannon loves getting to know the patients! Helping patients get the care they need is her passion. Along with her dedication to her career Shannon enjoys every minute spent with her two wonderful children. She also enjoys cooking, hiking and practicing yoga.
With nearly seventeen years of experience assisting in clinical dentistry, Janessa has worked with oral surgeons, endodontists and pediatric dental specialists. She has also worked in a dental lab aiding with the manufacture of dentures and other dental prosthetic devices. She comes now to Inspire Dental with a desire to work in general/family practice dentistry, because she finds the work highly fulfilling and enjoys the wide variety of daily challenges. Outside of dentistry, Janessa is a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and three daughters.
A series of conversations with her enthusiastic dental hygienist as a child, first began her interest in working in the dental field. She remains drawn to the profession largely out of desire to help people and promote good health. In her free time, Kaitlyn is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoys hiking, competitive swimming, camping!
A native of Maine, Amanda grew up in a county of where access to dental care was quite limited. Having had many positive experiences of her own as a child, she developed a desire to become a hygienist and provide care to children and adults herself. She cares deeply for patients and the pride she takes in her work shows! Outside of practicing dental hygiene, Amanda enjoys playing the piano, golf, singing, camping and letting her (chef) husband cook for her!
Shannon grew up in Mt Washington Valley, NH and graduated from the University of New England in 2006. Shannon worked full time in Scarborough for 13 years before joining Inspire Dental of Maine. She resides in Windham with her husband MacKenzie, their daughter Kameryn and their chocolate lab/pitbull Bella. As a family they enjoy what Maines gorgeous four seasons have to offer and try to get outside to experience them all. In her free time, Shannon enjoys spending time with her family - hiking, biking, gardening, making jewelry, cooking, four-wheeling and especially camping.
As a hygienist, Shannon loves learning about her patients and their life experiences. She takes pride in building long lasting relationships with all of her patients and providing individualized oral health care to each one. Shannon is compassionate, able to put her patients at ease and ensures a positive dental experience. She strives to provide a comfortable, thorough and personable visit. The personal connections she builds continues to motivate and drive her forward.
Mark has been a dental technician for over 40 years, having grown up working in his father's dental laboratory. He has an associates degree in applied science at New York Technical College. He received his license to practice Denturism from George Brown College in Toronto. Mark was awarded the prestigious Dental Technician of the Year award in 2014, which is given by the Massachusetts Dental Association Board of Governors. Mark teaches dental students at Boston University in the removable prosthetics division. Outside of dentistry Mark's other interests include playing recreational league hockey, riding motorcycles, skiing!
