Dr Kenneth 'Leigh' Westbrook grew up in Smithfield, NC. When he was a teenager his family moved to Morehead City, NC where he graduated from West Carteret High School. He attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill for hisundergraduate studies and went on to graduate with honors from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. He enjoyed the small town of Morehead City, so when it was time to practice dentistry he could only think of one place he would like to be. He went into practice with his father Donald L. Westbrook, DDS. After working several years with his father he decided to take over the practice.
Dr. Westbrook has a wife, Meredith, and two boys, Jacksonand Tyler. He is very dedicated to his family andloves being a father. He enjoys boating, fishing, and scuba diving. He also is a volunteer soccer coach for both of his son's teams in the fall and spring.
Dr Westbrook is described as caring, patient, and sincere. He has a true passion for dentistry and keeps up with the latest continuing education classes. His patients enjoy his knowledge as well as his way of making them feel comfortable and at easewhile in the dental chair.
Dr Donald L. Westbrook was born in Goldsboro, NC. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentisty with honors. He was awarded the Pfeiffer Fellow in 1972 and was a member of the Omicron Kappa Epsilon. He opened his first practice in Smithfield, NC where he lived for several years until relocating to Morehead City, NC in 1989.
Dr. Westbrook has a wife, Karen, a son (who he is in practice with), Kenneth 'Leigh' Westbrook, DDS, a daughter, Lindsay, (whomanages the practice). Dr Westbrook has three granchildren Jackson, Tyler, and Holton. Family is very important to him and he is thankful that he gets to work with his children and spend time with his wife and grandchildren as much as possible.
Dr. Westbrook has been practicing dentistry for over 30 yearsand stays up to date on the latest continuing education classes as well as the newest technology. Heis very dedicated to his patients and his work, so when his son took over the practice hewanted to continue to practice dentistry.You will always see Dr. Westbrook with a smile on his face. He loves to make people laugh and has a wonderful sense of humor. In his spare time you can often find him on the golf course or on the boat fishing.

Not a small job crowning a cracked molar. I could not be more satisfied. After the numbness dissipated I experienced a new tooth that felt like it belonged. Very comfortable and my jaw closes properly. Very good experience.

Great professional service! A two hour appointment to remove a crown, repair decay, and fit a totally new crown that fit perfectly. I was very impressed!

I had a horrible car accident in Octpber 2003. Spring 2004 is when I first went to Dr Westbrook's practice to see what could be done. As it turned out I needed all my teeth removed and full dentures, upper and lower. The appointments that followed I was SUPER scared of the pain and just VERY anxious. But Dr. Westbrook and his staff worked to calm me down and make sure I was comfortable. I never felt any pain thru the entire process. This man and his staff are TRULY amazing to say the least. Also, here it is December 2018 and I'm STILL getting compliments on my dentures and people would've NEVER guessed they were false teeth at all. They still fit perfectly and look just as they did back in 2004. AMAZING!!! Thank you Dr. Westbrook and staff for changing my entire life!!!

Hands down, Dr. Westbrook and his WHOLE TEAM are nothing short of fabulous. I've been going here for a long time and I cannot remember ever sitting in the waiting room more than 5-7 minutes. They are professionals from the time you open the door, from the time you leave. They are friendly and they actually care about their patients...That's rare! You won't regret going, trust me! I started coming there straight out of college with no dental insurance. They worked with me until I got my career going and obtained insurance. I would not trade them for the world!

An excellent dentist and practice. Dr. Westbrook's work is superb and the staff polite and friendly. Having just relocated here, I'm proud to say he is my dentist and I would highly recommend his practice.
