Dr Kenneth 'Leigh' Westbrook grew up in Smithfield, NC. When he was a teenager his family moved to Morehead City, NC where he graduated from West Carteret High School. He attended the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill for hisundergraduate studies and went on to graduate with honors from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. He enjoyed the small town of Morehead City, so when it was time to practice dentistry he could only think of one place he would like to be. He went into practice with his father Donald L. Westbrook, DDS. After working several years with his father he decided to take over the practice.
Dr. Westbrook has a wife, Meredith, and two boys, Jacksonand Tyler. He is very dedicated to his family andloves being a father. He enjoys boating, fishing, and scuba diving. He also is a volunteer soccer coach for both of his son's teams in the fall and spring.
Dr Westbrook is described as caring, patient, and sincere. He has a true passion for dentistry and keeps up with the latest continuing education classes. His patients enjoy his knowledge as well as his way of making them feel comfortable and at easewhile in the dental chair.
Dr Donald L. Westbrook was born in Goldsboro, NC. He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Dentisty with honors. He was awarded the Pfeiffer Fellow in 1972 and was a member of the Omicron Kappa Epsilon. He opened his first practice in Smithfield, NC where he lived for several years until relocating to Morehead City, NC in 1989.
Dr. Westbrook has a wife, Karen, a son (who he is in practice with), Kenneth 'Leigh' Westbrook, DDS, a daughter, Lindsay, (whomanages the practice). Dr Westbrook has three granchildren Jackson, Tyler, and Holton. Family is very important to him and he is thankful that he gets to work with his children and spend time with his wife and grandchildren as much as possible.
Dr. Westbrook has been practicing dentistry for over 30 yearsand stays up to date on the latest continuing education classes as well as the newest technology. Heis very dedicated to his patients and his work, so when his son took over the practice hewanted to continue to practice dentistry.You will always see Dr. Westbrook with a smile on his face. He loves to make people laugh and has a wonderful sense of humor. In his spare time you can often find him on the golf course or on the boat fishing.
