Dr. Katie To is a biological and cosmetic dentist and the owner of The Center for Integrated Wellness and Cosmetic Dentistry in Katy, Texas. As the only SMART certified dentist in Katy, safe patient care is a top priority. Her industry knowledge includes dental ozone therapy, biological dental surgery, cosmetic dentistry techniques and clinical nutrition. Within each area of expertise, biocompatible and nontoxic approaches are selected.
While the practice specializes in biological dentistry, Dr. Katies team places equal importance on proper nutrition, posture, sleep, mindset, and emotional wellness. She personalizes all dental materials, techniques, and procedures to maximize optimal wellness for each patient. This attention to detail extends to her work in cosmetic dentistry. As a Digital Smile Design (DSD) clinic, Dr. Katie uses cutting-edge technology to transform smiles and build confidence.
After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in biology, Dr. Katie pursued dentistry. She studied at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) with distinction in research and multiple awards in cosmetic dentistry upon graduation. Following this season of life, she married her husband, Dr. Bar Nguyen, and they traveled the world together.
Upon returning to the U.S., Dr. Katies journey toward natural and conservative dentistry began in a personal battle with infertility. She and her husband grasped for answers in desperation while exploring all options for a viable pregnancy. Dr. Katie engaged in extensive research where she learned that toxic metal poisoning is often a contributing factor in infertility. Even without mercury dental fillings, she pursued testing. Three separate doctors confirmed her resultsshe was positive for mercury toxicity.
Dr. Katie took bold steps toward healing, making lifestyle changes in the name of personal health. Finding herself at a professional crossroads, Dr. Katie turned away from traditional dentistry in pursuit of biological dentistry. Now as a Certified Biological Dentist, her approach to patient care centers food as medicine while caring for the body as a whole. She treats more than just oral symptoms, and in turn, patients achieve optimum levels of health through preventive and holistic measures.
Since the birth of her son, Bailey, Dr. Katie actively seeks balance between her career and personal life as she embraces motherhood and a fulfilling career. She encourages others to seek harmony within their own lives by challenging her team to set and reach personal wellness goals each year. Dr. Katies most recent ambition includes training toward certification as a yoga instructor.
Her entrepreneurial passions extend to the creation and facilitation of continuing education (CE) programs for her peers through KT Dental Seminars. As the founder and voice of the brand, Dr. Katie hosts live seminars, online masterclasses and coaching sessions for her industry. This venture motivates other dental professionals to maximize their career and personal potential while elevating business and clinical skills.
With more than 1,500 hours of personal CE completed, Dr. Katie surpasses the standards for the state of Texas by approximately 12 times the annual requirement. Targeting most of her CE studies within cosmetic and biological dentistry, she remains at the forefront of her fields. As an AGD Fellow (FAGD), Dr. Katie is positioned within the top six percent of dentists in the U.S. and Canada. She is also the youngest Master of Biological Dentistry, a distinction given by the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM). This is the highest level of certification within the IABDM network of dentists.
As the owner of the first and only DSD clinic in Katy, Dr. Katies achievements in cosmetic technology are notable. With only 17 DSD clinics in North America and 38 clinics throughout the world, patients from the local community and its surrounding cities visit the practice to experience a DSD smile transformation. She is the first female to hold the professional title of Master of Smile Design within the DSD network.
Dr. Katie is proud to lead a family-friendly, multi-specialty group practice where she helps patients uncover healthy smiles, healthy bodies and healthy minds. Through an endless pursuit of knowledge, Dr. Katie and her team are equipped to walk alongside and support their community with modern and innovative techniques that inspire holistic wellness.
Dr. Bar Nguyen grew up in Houston, TX and graduated from Klein Forest High School at the top of his class. He went on to study at Texas A&M University where he graduated as valedictorian with a major in biomedical sciences. Dr. Nguyen was accepted into Dental School at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA) where he later graduated summa cum laude with distinction in research and multiple awards in orthodontics. Upon receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Nguyen was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honorary Society.
Dr. Nguyen completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. He received his board certification in 2013 from the American Board of Orthodontics, and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Nguyen loves to learn and expand his knowledge on orthodontic treatment. He regularly takes continuing education courses and attends various meetings with orthodontic societies to keep up with the advances and regulation in the industry.

Dr. Katie To and her team are the most compassionate and thorough dental team! They go above and beyond in order to ensure you feel safe and comfortable during procedures, and to communicate a personalized treatment plan. I really appreciate how they provide a much deeper level of dental care and address overlooked dental issues that impact the health of the whole body. I have always taken great care of body but suffered from chronic issues and inflammation for years.. I'm so grateful that Dr. Katie To was able to get to the root of a very important missing piece in my healing journey!

Best experience I have ever had at a dentist! Dr. Katie and her staff really care about you as a whole person. The mouth is intricately connected to the rest of the body and I was blown away with how they run the practice. Raela was so caring and fun to talk to. She gave clear guidance during the whole visit and is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I really think this place not only strives for perfection, but accomplishes it! I love taking my family here and do not trust absolutely anyone else to look at our teeth. No one else's opinions matter to me other than Dr. Katy To and her staff. Such sweet and hard working girls here. Never change! 10/10 and I'll continue to take my services here.

We are patients here and loved the care provided by the office and Dr. To as she's very educated in biological dentistry and she treating the mouth like the integral part of the whole body that it is. She's educated in airway & palate issues, oral ties, fluoride toxicity, etc which is great. Unfortunately she's no longer in network as of last year and with the cost of everything going up gas and food having to pay the full cost up front which is usually from the $80s-200s and then have your insurance reimburse you later ,for not even the full amount I might add, is not feasible in this economy. Especially when I was used to having preventative services covered at 100% prior to entering under her care. I understand that her removing herself as an out of network dentist was probably the best move for her to practice dentistry unrestricted by the unfair and restrictive rulings of big pharma. Unfortunately we'll be looking for a new dentist who's in network until we can manage to pay dental costs like these upfront. Really hate we have to choose between excellent holistic care and our finances at this time. Hope we can return again as patients soon.

Where do I even start? From the moment on my initial call to schedule my first appointment- to my initial consultation visit- then finally on the chair getting to the root of my oral health concerns, Dr Katie To and everyone have been above and beyond. I feel my family and I are in very good hands. I've never experienced this type of care at a dentist office before. Katie doesn't just treat your teeth but she cares for your overall well-being. We highly recommend receiving your oral health care here if what you're looking for is nothing short of thorough and comprehensive.

Every time I come for my check ups I'm greeted with lovely caring smiles asking how I'm doing, instantly lifting up my mood! The building is so bright and lively it fills me up with serotonin. The services provided are exquisite and they always make sure we are comfortable and relaxed. I love coming to the dentist knowing I'm going to be taken care of, and to just have a nice friendly conversation.
