Advance directives are documents that state your choices about medical treatment. They will also allow you to name someone to make decisions about your medical treatment if you are unable to make decisions for yourself.
The Markey Cancer Center functions within the parameters of that accreditation to provide a variety of CME offerings. These include a Friday Scientific Seminar Series, as well as periodic organ system updates and advances symposia.

The UK Markey Cancer Center was first designated by the National Cancer Institute in 2013 a distinction that recognizes our extraordinary ability to provide world-class care for our patients. We are the only NCI-designated cancer center in Kentucky and one of only 71 in the nation.
The rapid response team makes rounds daily on patients transferred out of the intensive care unit (ICU) to acute care as well as responding to calls for patients experiencing signs of decline. We also have a dedicated rapid response team focused in our Kentucky Children's Hospital area.
