Dr. Carson has been practicing airway focused dentistry since since 2005 when it was discovered that her oldest child had an airway issue and proper facial development was the answer. After graduating with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Dr. Carson attended the UCLA School of Dentistry. While there, she was presented with the Excellence in Restorative Dentistry Award and the Academy of General Dentistry Award. She earned her DDS honors in 2001, graduating cum laude, and served a general practice residency with the Veterans Administration in Sepulveda. Dr. Carson has four children and a mini golden doodle. Outside the office she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, biking, hiking and the outdoors. She is very passionate about spreading the knowledge of improved health through being able to breathe properly. Dr. Carson also has her fellowships in Neuromuscular & Physiological Dentistry, and Buteyko Breathing.

I feel very blessed to have a career that I truly love. As a dental hygienist here, I have the opportunity to work with so many awesome people, and the patients I see each day bring a unique aspect to my life. I enjoy educating my patients on the importance of oral health and the mind-body connection. When I help a patient define their oral health goals, and work with them until theyre met, I know Ive made a difference. I am happily married and I have two wonderful children. I love to spend my free time with my family, reading, and exercising.

My name is Kirsten and I am a dental hygienist. I have worked in dentistry since I was 17 and it truly is such a blessing to work alongside the team at Integrative Dental Arts. Along with practicing clinical dental hygiene, I teach part time at the UCLA School of Dentistry. What I enjoy most about being a dental hygienist is the ability to connect with people and share my knowledge of dentistry with them. Born and raised in Southern California, I love everything and anything outdoors. When Im not working you can find me in the Santa Monica Mountains hiking or spending time with my fianc and our sweet lab, Ari.
Today more than yesterday, what I do is so exciting, and I know I change lives every day. I started in the dental field when I was 18 and have now been in it for more than 30 years. I can honestly say that I love every day I come to work. When Im not at the office, I love spending time with my two children Rylea and Dylan, friends, and family. I love animals and the outdoors, camping at the beach, snowboarding, and hiking with my dogs. When I have free time, a good game of Texas Holdem never hurts! I love to raise money for rescue animals and feel very strong about adopting from shelters.
I received my license as an RDA in 1981 and joined this office in 1997. My favorite part of my job is being able to work with such incredible patients and amazing team members. I take the time to get to know my patients and know that Im making a difference in their lives. I assist Dr Carson with our neuromuscular, TMD, and sleep disorder cases, so the changes in our patients lives can be quite profound. I am married to a wonderful husband and I have three sons. All the boys have finished school and I am enjoying watching them start their own lives. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, cooking, gardening, reading, and when time permits, traveling and skiing.
