Being an orthodontist is possibly the best profession in the world. For me, it is a blessing to be able to help others achieve a beautiful smile. I find it very rewarding to take a person who is already beautiful and make them even more beautiful, confident, and comfortable through orthodontic care. It is not only the patients smile that transforms, but their personality as well.
I appreciate, and am very thankful to my family and mentors for all their continued support in helping me achieve the education and training I received. I am thrilled to be able to pass on my knowledge and skill to my patients smiles. It is important for me to keep current and up-to-date through constant study and attendance of lectures and seminars throughout the year.I made a promise to myself that I would pass it forward. It being the enthusiasm I have for my profession. I am honored to be an attending at Saint Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, and mentor 12 of the brightest orthodontic residents. I find this truly rewarding.
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, I immigrated to the United States in 1986. I currently reside in Cresskill with my husband, Craig, our two lovely children, Emma and Chase, and our two dogs, Kaiaand Simba. When Im not in the office, I love spending time with my family, spin, yoga and listening to classical music.

I enjoy working in orthodontics, especially being able to laugh and smile with our patients and making sure that they have a positive orthodontic experience. My favorite part of my job is getting to meet new patients and seeing what their teeth look like after their braces are removed. When Im not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my two sisters and nephew and my friends, shopping, and writing poetry.
I am excited and honored to work with Dr. Reisner. I enjoy meeting our patients and helping them with their needs. I love to see the transformation from before to after orthodontic treatment and the truly beautiful smiles when they are done with treatment. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and going on hikes and adventures.
Our patients are so much fun! I enjoy getting to know them on a personal basis and watch as their teeth transform into beautiful, confident smiles. I love working with Dr. Reisner and our team because we all have the same goal: provide the best care for our patients in a friendly environment. In my free time, I love being with my family and traveling.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, orthodontic appliances slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days of having 'railway tracks.' Today the braces are smaller and more comfortable. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and in some cases, clear aligners. Today 's wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and four years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time in full braces.

I have been going to Dr. Reisner for a little more than 4 years now and my teeth look amazing! The office is very clean and nicely decorated and everyone here is very friendly. I always have a good experience and I highly recommend seeing Dr. Reisner

Dr. Reisner truly cares about each and every one of her patients. She listens to your needs as well as creating a beautiful smile! The whole staff will really take the time out to explain every step from the moment you walk in the door for a consultation to the time you finish braces/Invisalign. Also her and her staff have taken every precaution during COVID...truly feel safe going every visit.

My 9 yr old had a crossbite that was fixed in less then 6months with a removable expander. I was so impressed with how easy it was (having heard horror stories from other people with other Orthodontists) it was comfortable and my son loved it. His orthodontic treatment has only just begun but we are extremely pleased with the treatment thus far. Dr. Reisner has come up with a great treatment plan and I can't wait to see the final result. The office is beautiful and very clean too. Highly recommend!!

If I could do negative stars I would. She's cool in the beginning but felt that she could charge me extra just because she simply wanted to. Even spoke to Invisalign and they laughed at what I told them. Very unprofessional and would never recommend anyone to give this woman their money.

I had what I thought to be an emergency and Karen guided me through my concerns and what I needed to do to fix my issue. The issue was fixed in less than ten minutes! Especially during covid, having an orthodontist that's detail oriented, cautious and caring is important! This is a place you can go to and know you're getting the best possible outcome! And having someone so invested in teeth looking amazing helped the process and outcome be way better and more enjoyable

The doctors here are nice and caring and they never hurt us. they don't lie and they always prepare you for whatever they are going to do to us. They never just tell us on the spot what they are going to do. They tell us in advance and make sure that we don't worry about it. I definitely recommend going to this orthodontist!

I have an autistic son who is not an easy patient for Dr. Reisner. Dr. Reisner is most compassionate and caring dentist and without her support, my son would not have been able to have braces on his teeth. I highly recommend her for Special Needs children.
