Dr. Brooks graduated from Pace High School in 1984. He continued his education at Florida State University and the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry, receiving his dental degree in 1993. In 1996, Dr. Brooks completed his orthodontic residency at the Medical College of Georgia, receiving his Masters in Biology, and returned to Pensacola to open Brooks Orthodontics.
Dr. Brooks is a member of the EscaRosa Dental Society, as well as national, state, and regional dental associations. He also stays very involved with the Gulf Coast Dental Study Club and is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

Dr Brooks is amazing! He genuinely cares for his patients. My sons treatment was complicated but Sr Brooks expected a perfect plan and my son is very happy with his braces. We can't wait to see the end result!

I feel like Dr. Brooks and staff really want what's best for their patients. My daughter needs braces but not right away! I feel like the chain orthodontist places would have slapped them on already just to make a buck and it would cause her to need them again in the long run. Dr. Brooks really has her best interest at heart! Would highly recommend them!

The doc has a great crew working with him. They are very knowledgeable, warm, and professional. The atmosphere is great and it doesn't feel like you are in a cattle car like some other places. No conveyor belt feeling here. Dr Brooks is great and he actually comes up with a plan for you and your needs. He talks to you and a very salt of the earth type of guy. They are good people. I highly suggest you come see his practise first and don't bother going somewhere else for your orthodontic needs.

My daughter knew what was going on because we explained it to her but still she scared of the unknown. When she was getting molds taken of her mouth, Dr. Brooks stopped what he was doing and went to cheering her on along with other staff members to help distract her. Dr. Brooks and his team are AMAZING!
