Dr. Herndon grew up in Saratoga and has been practicing Dentistry for over 27 years from the same location. Her office is in Downtown Saratoga, across from the Fire Station, with parking right at the front door.
While the office uses the latest tools, equipment, and sterilization techniques (including digital imaging for all X-Rays which is faster, more comfortable, and minimizes radiation exposure), the last thing you feel is like part of an assembly line. Quiet and low key has been the philosophy in the office over the decades.
Dr. Julie Herndon grew up in Saratoga. After graduating from Saratoga High School (go Falcons!), she attended the University of Southern California and received a degree in Exercise Physiology. She then returned to the Bay Area and graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where she received her Doctorate degree in Dental Surgery with highest honors. Dr. Herndon then began practicing dentistry in the same office as her father and taught dental students for several years at the Dental School.
She has been practicing in this Saratoga location for almost 30 years, and shes proud to have served multiple generations of local residents. While she has been practicing a long time, she enjoys staying current with the latest technology to provide conservative, gentle, and reliable treatment to meet the needs of each individual patient. The exact same care she provides to her friends and family.
In her free time, Dr. Herndon enjoys gardening, hiking, cooking, quilting, and training her rescue dogs. She is also a strong believer of giving back and has been an active member of Saratoga Rotary Club for 20 years (including serving as president in 2015). She has been on many medical missions to Central America with Rotaplast International assisting with cleft lip palate surgeries. Dr. Herndon has also participated locally for years with the Give Kids A Smile program in Santa Clara County to provide free screenings and dental care to kids in need. She is also an active member of the Santa Clara County Dental Society.

This office has a wonderful, friendly environment! The woman who works the front desk is so kind and helpful, she makes sure that I never miss an appointment with phone calls. Dr. Herndon does amazing work and I will be coming here for life!

My gosh where do I start. First I would say the people working here are the most down to earth, polite, amazing people I've talked to in a dentist office. I'm not from the area and needed to find a new dentist office after being relocated for work, and I heard about Julie Herndon from a close friend. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the nicest receptionist, she is easily one of my favorite people I've met. Dr. Herndon is such a great professional, she know so much and works with you in a ways that educate you on teeth instead of it being a task -even after covid everyone is always so happy to be at work and providing a safe environment for the patients to get their oral needs taken care of. After every appointment naturally my teeth feel great, but I look forward to coming back. As an adult it's hard to find a happy medium that you got from getting toys at your dentist office as a child, and I feel like the void is filled here. Great experiences from start to finish.
