I regularly attend both local and national continuing education seminars. Orthodontics is constantly evolving, and I believe in working hard to stay at the forefront of the latest clinical techniques and technological advancements. It is my goal to provide the best treatment alternatives for my patients and deliver the highest quality and most efficient orthodontic care.

Ive lived in New York City my entire life, except for the four years I spent in beautiful Ithaca,New York for college. I love running andIve completed two NYC marathons, but right now Im trying to stick to a more manageable distance of half-marathons. I also love traveling, photography, cooking, and of course eating!

I am so grateful for the education that Ive received, and being active in the community is my way of giving back. I strongly believe in having a good, well-rounded educational foundation, and it is something I try to emphasize with my patients. I am a member of the Cornell Alumni Ambassador Network, for which I interview potential freshman students. I am also a past president of the Columbia University Orthodontic Alumni Society, and I serve on the board of directors of the Hunter College High School Alumni Association.

Dr. Serena Thomas grew up in our neighboring state of New Jersey. She attended Boston University for her dental degree, completed a General Practice Residency at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and practiced for approximately 5 years as a general dentist before pursuing specialty training at the Georgia School of Orthodontics.

She has been trained in a state-of-the-art facility with the latest technologies and treatments. Dr. Thomas is dedicated and passionate about dentistry, orthodontics, and the care of her patients. Her patience with her patients is central to the care they receive.She is strongly committed to continuing education to provide the best care and treatment. She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association and is also a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. While currently living in Long Island, with her husband, in her free time, Dr. Thomas loves spending time with her family and friends, traveling (pre-pandemic), shes an avid food taster/loves eating, enjoys baking, working out, spending time outdoors and binge tv watching
