Dr. Joseph Obermeier was born and raised in Medina, Ohio. He graduated from Medina High School in 1984 and then was accepted into the six year dental program at Case Western Reserve University. After graduating he completed a one year general practice residency at Saint Luke's Medical Center with emphasis on surgical and emergency care.
He joined Dr. Stan Brown in 1991 and has been practicing in the Shaker Heights/Beachwood area since then. He and Dr. Richard Adelstein took over the Medina practice of Dr. Richard Landesmen in October of 2001.
Dr. Obermeier has been a member of the Greater Cleveland Dental Society, theMedina County Dental Society, the Ohio Dental Association, and the American Dental Association throughout his career. He is also a member of a local study club and a national study club to further his education and knowledge of comprehensive dental care. Dr. Obermeier and his wife Kelly live in Medina and have two young adult children.
Dr. Richard Adelstein was born in Cleveland, grew up in Lyndhurst, Ohio and graduated from Brush High School. He received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University and graduated from Case Western Reserve University Dental School. He then completed a one-year general practice residency program at Saint Luke's Medical Center.
He joined Dr. Obermeier in 1994 and eventually became partners with Dr. Obermeier to acquire the dental practice of Stan Brown andtook over the Medina practice of Dr. Richard Landesmen in Octoberof 2001.
Dr. Adelstein has been a member of the Greater Cleveland Dental Society, the Ohio Dental Association andthe American Dental Association throughout his career. He is also amember of a several local study clubs and a national study club to further his education and knowledge ofcomprehensive dental care.
Dr. Tamara Lempel graduated with honors from York University, and the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in Toronto, Canada, before completing a general practice residency at New York Hospital of Queens, a division of Cornell University. During this time Dr. Lempel had extensive training in all facets of dentistry including trauma, dental emergencies, pediatrics, root canal therapy, removable dentures, and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Lempel worked in private practice in New York for six years while also supervising residents completing their training at New York Hospital of Queens. Dr. Lempel moved to Cleveland with her husband and four children four years ago and has been practicing general dentistry since that time. During her time in private practice, Dr. Lempel gained extensive experience in cosmetic dentistry including veneers, crowns, bridges, implants, and implant supported dentures. She enjoys working with people and takes great pride in improving their smiles and self image. She enjoys making her patients feel comfortable in the dental chair, especially those with past dental phobia anxiety. She comes from a family of dentists, and feels fortunate to work in a field that she loves.
Dr. Jerry grew up in South Euclid, Ohio and graduated from Brush High School. He attended Western Reserve University (now Case Western University), receiving a B.A. degree and also his D.D.S. degree from its Dental School. Aftergraduating from Dental School, he served two years in the United States Air Force-Medical Service Corp.
Dr. Jerry is a member of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, and is also a past president, and has been a recipient of the Alpha Omega Honor Award. He is also a memberand Past President of the Cleveland Academy for Dental Studies. He has belonged to the Greater Cleveland Dental Society, The Northeast Ohio Dental Association, The Ohio Dental Association, and The American Dental Association.
