Do you like going to the dentist?I like going to Dr. Thomas. He is very careful, Ive had a lot of dental upgrades and never recall feeling pain or being uncomfortable. He has all the best machines, be it 3D scanners, or CEREC same day crown, Dr. Thomas can use the technology to help you know what is happening and keep your smile healthy.I have followed his recommendations, sonic care, floss type, and have had excellent oral care, 6-month cleanings are a 10! Dr. Thomas and his wife, Krista, have two beautiful little girls, Oaklee, and Brookes, and a handsome little man, Tave. In his free time, Dr. Thomas can be found exploring Maui with his camera, enjoying family beach days, reading princess stories to his little girls, wrestling his boy, and wooing his wife with his impressive grilling skills.

Hi! My name is Caity. I am so excited to be serving the Maui community. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with my bachelors in dental hygiene and spent two and half years working in uptown Phoenix. I moved here with my cocker spaniel, Oreo, this past fall of 2018. I love taking him to the beach and spending time outdoors.
Stella has been in the dental field for over 25 years. Her dental experience ranges from a registered dental assistant to running and managing dental offices. Stellas goal is to always be available to assist our patients with any specific questions and always provide compassionate care. When shes outside the office, Stella enjoys spending time with her husband of 27 years. Stella has 2 adult sons and 2 grandchildren. She enjoys paddle boarding and loves cooking.

Hey, my name is Brandi and I am excited to be a part of Dr. Thomass team at Smiles with Aloha. I graduated from UH Maui College where I received my dental hygiene degree. I love seeing all my patients smiles and helping educate them along the way. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the beach where I either fish or snorkel. Some other hobbies include baking, painting, and hiking.
Dr. Thomas has been practicing in Kihei for the past two and a half years. He joined us from the Big Island where he practiced as an associate for four years. In his search to find a practice to call his own, Dr. Thomas was fortunate to connect with Dr. Shimokawa. After spending time with the Shimokawas, Dr. Thomas knew it was a great fit and felt honored that Dr. Shimokawa felt the same.
Dr. Thomas earned his dental degree from the University of Maryland after earning his bachelors degree in Visual Art from Brigham Young University. His training in the arts complements his artistic and discerning eye to create beautiful smiles. Dr. Thomas furthered his training by completing a general practice residency at the University Medical Center in Fresno, California. Dr. Thomas attends numerous postgraduate education courses each year. Dr. Thomas believes in the value of being current with the latest research, technology and procedures in order to provide the highest quality care possible.
Dr. Thomas has received advanced training in placing implants. He offers the latest in digital dental radiographs or 3D Imaging (CBCT) in his office. This allows him to perform virtual surgery before placing the actual implant. The 3D imaging technology ensures placement accuracy, and bone readiness in his patients. Hands down, this is the gold standard for implant placement among all dental professionals.
Dr. Thomas has also had advanced laser training, allowing him to practice minimally invasive dentistry and save as much tooth structure as possible. Laser dentistry is gaining popularity among all patients, particularly with children, since in many instances, no anesthetic is needed. Dr. Thomas has recently attended courses on dental treatment via ozone therapy. He is very impressed with the ozone therapy, and has recently started utilizing it in his practice.
Dr. Thomas is passionate about creating beautiful smiles, and values his relationships with his patients. He has a unique ability to make his patients feel relaxed and comfortable in the dental chair. For the Thomas Ohana, family time is prized time.
