Do you like going to the dentist?I like going to Dr. Thomas. He is very careful, Ive had a lot of dental upgrades and never recall feeling pain or being uncomfortable. He has all the best machines, be it 3D scanners, or CEREC same day crown, Dr. Thomas can use the technology to help you know what is happening and keep your smile healthy.I have followed his recommendations, sonic care, floss type, and have had excellent oral care, 6-month cleanings are a 10! Dr. Thomas and his wife, Krista, have two beautiful little girls, Oaklee, and Brookes, and a handsome little man, Tave. Hi! My name is Caity. I am so excited to be serving the Maui community. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with my bachelors in dental hygiene and spent two and half years working in uptown Phoenix. I moved here with my cocker spaniel, Oreo, this past fall of 2018. I love taking him to the beach and spending time outdoors.
Stella has been in the dental field for over 25 years. Her dental experience ranges from a registered dental assistant to running and managing dental offices. Stellas goal is to always be available to assist our patients with any specific questions and always provide compassionate care. When shes outside the office, Stella enjoys spending time with her husband of 27 years. Stella has 2 adult sons and 2 grandchildren. She enjoys paddle boarding and loves cooking.

Hey, my name is Brandi and I am excited to be a part of Dr. Thomass team at Smiles with Aloha. I graduated from UH Maui College where I received my dental hygiene degree. I love seeing all my patients smiles and helping educate them along the way. In my spare time, I enjoy going to the beach where I either fish or snorkel. Some other hobbies include baking, painting, and hiking.
Dr. Thomas has been practicing in Kihei for the past two and a half years. He joined us from the Big Island where he practiced as an associate for four years. In his search to find a practice to call his own, Dr. Thomas was fortunate to connect with Dr. Shimokawa. After spending time with the Shimokawas, Dr. Thomas knew it was a great fit and felt honored that Dr. Shimokawa felt the same.
Dr. Thomas earned his dental degree from the University of Maryland after earning his bachelors degree in Visual Art from Brigham Young University. His training in the arts complements his artistic and discerning eye to create beautiful smiles. Dr. Thomas furthered his training by completing a general practice residency at the University Medical Center in Fresno, California. Dr. Thomas attends numerous postgraduate education courses each year. Dr. Thomas believes in the value of being current with the latest research, technology and procedures in order to provide the highest quality care possible.
Dr. Thomas has received advanced training in placing implants. He offers the latest in digital dental radiographs or 3D Imaging (CBCT) in his office. This allows him to perform virtual surgery before placing the actual implant. The 3D imaging technology ensures placement accuracy, and bone readiness in his patients. Hands down, this is the gold standard for implant placement among all dental professionals.
Dr. Thomas has also had advanced laser training, allowing him to practice minimally invasive dentistry and save as much tooth structure as possible. Laser dentistry is gaining popularity among all patients, particularly with children, since in many instances, no anesthetic is needed. Dr. Thomas has recently attended courses on dental treatment via ozone therapy. He is very impressed with the ozone therapy, and has recently started utilizing it in his practice.
Dr. Thomas is passionate about creating beautiful smiles, and values his relationships with his patients. He has a unique ability to make his patients feel relaxed and comfortable in the dental chair. For the Thomas Ohana, family time is prized time. From beach days to family strolls, family moments are the best part of life.

I found out about this office from a mailer, decided to check it out, loved the office vibe, hygienists and the dentist are all friendly. I had my dead black tooth bleached and am happy with the results! Decided to make it my forever dentist office for cleanings and other work. Thanks for making me feel at home and for the great work!

My son chipped a good part of one of his front teeth in a pole vaulting mishap 3 days before prom. After explaining the situation to Dr Thomas, he was kind enough to see us the next day and fixed his tooth perfectly. He had a great time at prom, and no one even knew about his chipped tooth! Dr. Thomas genuinely cares for each of his patients and does excellent work. Mahalo nui!

Dr Jonathan Thomas is a fabulous dentist! His technique is gentle, painless, efficient & very detailed & he uses state-of-the-art technology that makes the experience more comfortable & educational. The staff is amazing & there are great photos of marine life from local artists all over the walls. I always go away smiling after my appointments...even after 2 fillings today!!

Dr. Thomas's team is amazing! Stella at the desk, Gigi cleaning your teeth, Dr. Thomas reviewing your dental hygiene / x-rays makes for a wonderful experience at the dentist! I would add that they sincerely believe in their work and make you feel welcome and that they want to make sure that you have the best possible experience!

I came here for a second opinion. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Jonathan Thomas has a very nice energy, he was knowledgeable and clear , he listened to my concerns and gave me good advice. The clinic was clean and organized. I love my existing dentist but I think it's looking like Smiles with Aloha won't cost me as much so I might be switching dentists

Dr. Thomas is great! The office staff is professional, friendly, and organized. Uses state of the art technology. Very minimal wait time. Dr. Thomas explains my needed care/concerns very clearly, gives me options, and listens well to my concerns. I would highly recommend his office to any residents or visitors needing dental care.

Had to make an emergency dental visit while on vacation and Dr. Thomas was able to see me and fix my problem in Kihei quickly. Made my vacation much more fun in less than an hours. Great staff. Friendly and helpful.

My family has been going to Dr.Thomas now for several years. We love that he looks at dentistry from a holistic point of view. You will not find a more intelligent, professional, kind or caring dentist. My family highly recommends Smiles With Aloha. His staff is always top notch also.

Every person at this office was excellent. Tracy, Brandy and Stella were professional and welcoming. I was visiting from Canada and Dr. Thomas was able to see me very quickly. He treated me in a timely and professional manner. I couldn't thank them enough.

I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I was able to be seen for a dental emergency. Dr Thomas did a great job and everyone was so kind and friendly. I actually had a good time which which crazy because going to the dentist usually gives me extreme anxiety. I highly recommend them!!!

Very impressed with my experience at Smiles With Aloha. Scheduling an appointment was easy, Tracy was very pleasant and helpful on the phone. New patient forms were done online, so no rushing to the office on the day of the appointment. The office is very clean and modern. Before anything else, I completed a comprehensive health questionnaire. I appreciate that they approach dentistry from a holistic standpoint. Brandy was the best hygienist. Very friendly and thorough. She explained everything from X-rays to the tools she was using to what she saw when she examined and cleaned my teeth. My X-rays and other photos popped up on a huge TV screen across the chair, so I could see exactly what she was seeing as she explained. Dr. Thomas was great, easy going and knowledgeable. It's obvious that he keeps current with new methods and technologies in dentistry and isn't pushy when it comes to recommendations. Finally, Stella was amazing in taking care of payment and explaining their Dental Savings Plan. Very pleased with my experience and am so happy to have found an entire practice (not just the Dr.) that truly cares for and helps their patients.
