Dr. John Takach studied dentistry at Temple University, graduating with honors in 1976. He began his career under the mentorship of an experienced dentist, until he started his own practice in Olney Philadelphia in 1978. In 1989 Dr. Takach relocated his practice to Cheltenham where he's focused on providing Family and Cosmetic Dentistry ever since. He stays current on the latest technology, seeking out state-of-the-art solutions through industry groups, continuing education and professional publications. Most recently he was certified to perform dental implants by Hiossen Research Education Center. Dr. Takach earned his undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering from Penn Sate in 1968 and went on to serve in the military until 1970. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Philadelphia Dental Association.

At the office of Dr. John Takach DDS, we provide full and partial dentures for patients who are missing several teeth and want to permanently correct their smile. Dentures are custom-fit for comfort and appearance, and we ensure your complete satisfaction with your new smile.
We offer bleaching services that offer you long lasting white teeth and a more effective way of permanent teeth bleaching. Dr. Takach will create a custom-fitted tray for you, which you can use to apply the bleach at home.

Absolutely horrible experience. I went in for a filling. Dr Takach let his assistant Carter take over. She is the worst. Zero people skills. Very abrasive and rude. When I requested Dr Takach, she the the dental tool hanging in my mouth. I tried explaining to Dr Takach how bad the experience was, he brushed me off. I was told to have a nice day when everything was done with absolutely no instructions on what I should eat, when the numbness would go away or anything. Very unprofessional.

I am an adult and have always had anxiety going to the dentist. Dr. Takach has helped to change that and make me feel comfortable. He will not only discuss the care needed but will illustrate as well.
