Picture on the left is Dr. Stiver's work and the pic. on the right is a Dentist in Elizabethtown, Ky. .Dr. Stivers was the 2nd dentist I came too because of his positive reviews .I came to him to have 2 front teeth crowns redone due to bad work by a previous dentist. First office visit went fairly well as I was told that I could have my crown work redone to too look the way I wanted. Dr. Stivers was friendly and talkative the day of the consultation . We talked about having two or three crowns redone. I was charged 200 dollars to have a wax build done of my teeth which ended up being a waste of time and money since I chose to have two front crowns redone instead of 3. Then the day came to have my existing crowns taken out, molds made, and temporary crowns put in. This is when Dr. Stiver's personality changed from friendly and talkative to less friendly ,quite and rushed to do the work. First of all No safety glasses were supplied to have the existing crowns removed from my mouth. I was numbed but the removal of my crowns were done in a very rough Manner And one hot piece of crown actually came up and hit me under my eye. I've had a lot of dental work done in the past and this was by far the roughest uncomfortable intense experience I have ever felt in a dental chair. His bedside manner along with his assistant were not at all comforting as well. Never was asked if I was OK or anything. I thought to myself that maybe he was just having a bad day And it's too late to turn back now. When the temporary work was complete I noticed they had ground a little off my existing implant crown down on the corner edge. This was a tooth that was next to the temporary crowns that I did not want work done at that time. Then came the day to get my permanent crowns put in. Dr. Stiver's still had the same bed side manner as my previous visit. When the work was completed I noticed Some rough edges on the edge of my crown work and Dr. Stivers ground this out and Once again ground on my adjacent implant crown. When the work was done I decided it wasn't worth coming back to cut my $2500 loss and go to another dentist to have it done right. Dr. stivers Lab work for the crowns was substandard. I have since went to another dentist who has a lab that did amazing work on my crowns and got four crowns done for the price of his two. Buyer beware. I am adding pictures of his work first followed by a picture of the dentist who did it right.

These trashy people sent me to collections for $50, when I had insurance and was never sent a separate bill and still have no idea what it was for. I'm sure my color had to do with that.

We have been going to Dr. Stivers for 30+ years and would not hesitate to recommend him! Scheduling is done correctly so one never waits. Staff is friendly. Good with children and adults. Office is easy to find and parking is ample.

Dr. Stivers is an excellent dentist. The staff is friendly and efficient, and my family and I always receive excellent care. We wouldn't trust our smiles to anyone else!

Dr. Stivers has been my dentist for almost 40 years. I am always greeted cheerily by Donna and the staff and treated kindly, promptly and professionally. It is only due to great trust that I have relied on Dr. Stivers for so long. I highly recommend Dr. Stivers and the practice for all dental needs.

Tremendous! Dr. Stivers exemplifies and personifies the art of dentistry. Having relocated from NYC to Louisville I thought it would be almost impossible to find the same level of quality care and attention I had received in Manhattan for nearly two decades. Welcomed like an old friend upon my first visit, these concerns quicky disappeared. Having taken a while to make this leap of faith with a new dentist, my teeth and gums weren't in the best of shape: However, this wasn't an issue for Dr Stivers. Instead of trying to lecture or shame me, he took a collaborative approach with dignity and respect, developing a plan of care to fit my needs both time wise and financially. Four visits later my teeth and gums had returned to excellent condition. Not only was I feeling physically better, I was feeling emotionally better as well. While having a tremendous experience like this really is a rarity, Dr. Stivers proves through human kindness and genuine professionalism they still exist.

I've been going to Dr. Stivers' office for close to 40 years now. I've always appreciated the care and professionalism I've received from both he and his staff. A few years ago I decided to have my metal fillings replaced with polymer resin so they would expand and contract at the same rate as the rest of the tooth. Dr. Stivers used a leading edge system to administer the novocaine and I could not believe how painless the procedure was to remove and replace the old fillings. I still ask people that go to their dentist if they use that system to administer the novocaine and am shocked when most say their dentist does not. I get a lot of compliments from people on how good my teeth look. Thanks Dr. Stivers for helping me smile through the years!

The office is the perfect example of why I prefer individually owned dental offices vs. larger corporate owned ones. The staff is always friendly and welcoming and see me as an individual. After the first visit, all the staff already knew me by name. They never try to up sell extra dental services I don't need. I'm always seen at my appointment time and finished in a timely manner. Also, I'm not sure what system Dr. Stivers uses but those dreaded fillings are not so bad anymore. I barely feel the needle used to inject Novocaine, making it a pain free experience!

Dr. Stivers has been my dentist since my first tooth and I'm 37 years old. He is a great dentist, his staff is kind and wonderful! I would recommend him to anyone that wants great dental care with a smile!

Dr. Stivers has been my dentist for over 10 years. Before going to Dr. Stivers I would have anxiety attacks just thinking about going to the dentist. Now I'm going twice a year for my regular checkups. Dr. Stivers family and friends on staff just make you feel so comfortable going to the dentist and I thank them for that. I so appreciate Dr. Stivers always explaining to me how important your Oral Health is to your total health. I highly recommend Dr. Stivers and his family and friends on staff for your Oral Health needs.

Dr Stivers is the best! I have been seeing Dr. S. since I was a little kid (who was terrified of going to the dentist). Now as an adult (who is no longer terrified of going to the dentist just a bit anxious) I appreciate him even more. He never fails to put me at ease and seems to intuitively know just when I need a good laugh/distraction. He is thorough, always explains what he's going to be doing and is very good about going over all my options. Ms Donna at the front desk always makes me feel welcome and even remembers to ask about my dog! This makes me feel very cared for. Well, considering I'm at the Dentist's....
