Dr. John was raised in the town of Trenton, Michigan by his amazing parents, Laurie and John Sr. Growing up on his parents Used Car Lot, Dr. John Yurkovich developed an amazing set of communication skills. His patience for listening and down-to-earth approach let you know he truly cares about your needs.

Beginning high school, Dr. John developed a love of woodworking from his shop classes. By his sophomore year, he was winning State Championships for his cabinets. Not only are his hand skills impeccable, but his attention to detail and perfectionism are what make his results so exquisite.

After high school, Dr. John achieved his Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University and graduated with High Honors in the top 6% of the entire school. He then excelled at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry where he attained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery followed by a two-year specialization to earn his Masters in Orthodontics. During his time in residency, he had a close mentorship with Dr. Keith Bever Sr., who trained him on the most important core values of great orthodontics. More than just straightening teeth, Dr. John strives for results that are functional, healthy, and beautiful.

Dr. John is an adjunct professor at theUniversity of Detroit-Mercy. Dr. John instructs the Roth-Williams segment and teaches students the importance of TMJ focused orthodontic treatment plans. Instructing students has always been a passion of Dr. John's since his days of teaching physics at Michigan State University and physiology at The University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.

Dr. John is happily married to his amazing wife Dr. Chelsey Yurkovich, who is an Emergency Medicine Pediatrician. She is an incredible woman who saves childrens lives both here in Michigan and in 3rd world countries like Haiti. Their marriage is like a Fairy-Tale; they are 'high-school-sweethearts' who gave unconditional support for each others journeys throughout school, and they couldnt be more proud of one another. Their love and commitment are proof 'Happily Ever After' is not for just the movies. They are both thrilled to be moving to Central Michigan area and starting their life in such an amazing and friendly community!

Heidi is Dr. John Orthodontics' Clinical Leader and has been an Orthodontic Assistant in the practice for over 40 years. She has a vast knowledge in Roth William's orthodontic treatment philosophy. Heidi enjoys exploring, traveling, gardening, and being creative.

Chris is Dr. John Orthodontics' Treatment Coordinator and has been with the practice for over 17 years. Chris enjoys spending time with family, friends, and watching her children participate in various sports. She also loves camping and skiing when she gets the opportunity.

Nikki is Dr. John Orthodontics' Office Administrator. She has been with the practice since October of 2018. Nikki is a social butterfly and enjoys spending time with her family. She also loves being outdoors, camping, and fishing.

Cassie is the Aligners Specialist and one of Dr. John Orthodontics' Assistants. She has been with the practice since January of 2019. Cassie enjoys golfing, bow hunting, being on the lake, camping, and thrives on having an active lifestyle. She loves being a mom and spending time with her friends and family.

Tammy is Dr. John Orthodontics' Insurance Coordinator and has been with the practice since August of 2020. Tammy enjoys spending time with her kids and grandkids. She also loves camping, Jeeping on the dunes, and riding on the Harley with her husband.

Katrina is Dr. John Orthodontics' Lab Technician and is integral part of keeping our practice moving efficiently. She has been with the practice since January of 2019. Katrina enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter in Northern Michigan.

Susie is Dr. John Orthodontics' New Patient Coordinator. She joined the practice in October of 2020 and one of the friendly faces that will greet you at the door. Susie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, or just relaxing with a movie at home with her kids.

Brittany is the Financial Coordinator for Dr. John Orthodontics and has been with the practice since February 2021. She enjoys gardening, golfing, spending time with her horses, and loves visiting Florida every chance she gets.
