Dr. Soxmans understanding of the influence of individual temperament and age-appropriate expectations creates an environment of trust and safety. A supportive and empathetic approach, along with many years of experience gently guiding children through treatment, has made the need for sedation a rarity. Parents are included and involved with an in-depth understanding of our treatment goals, assuring more successful and less stressful dental visits. Additional time is scheduled to calm an apprehensive child or to gain cooperation. We are committed to each childs well-being, not only regarding dental treatment, but meeting individual emotional needs.

Dr. Soxman began her career in healthcare as an intensive and coronary care nurse. She attended the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where she taught after her graduation. Specialty training was completed at Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Fellow in both the American College of Dentists and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentists. She is a seminar instructor for general practice residency programs at Allegheny General Hospital and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Soxman has authored many articles in the dental literature, edited the Handbook of Clinical Techniques in Pediatric Dentistry and is lead author for Anomalies of the Developing Dentition. As a national speaker, she has earned recognition as a leader in continuing education.

Dr. Buzzatto graduated with a degree in civil engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, where he also was a varsity wrestler and captained the team in 197273. He then completed both dental school and a three-year orthodontic residency at the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Buzzatto maintains a private orthodontic practice in Allison Park and Bridgeville,while teaching orthodontic residents at the University of Pittsburgh's School of Dental Medicine on Tuesdays. He is a Board Certified Specialist recognizedby the American Board of Orthodontics and is on the facultyatthe Temple UniversitySchool of Medicine. He is also on the medical staffs at both Allegheny General Hospital and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Buzzatto has been active with organized dentistry, especially orthodontics where he has served as president of the Western Pennsylvania Society of Orthodontists (1988), Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists (1997-98), Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists (Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Ontario and western Pennsylvania) (1998-99) andthe American Association of Orthodontists (17,000 members worldwide) (2012-13). His professional associations include: American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists, Western Pennsylvania Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association and Dental Society of Western Pennsylvania.

Dr. Buzzattohas been an active member and past Presidentof the Bridgeville Rotary Club since 1981. His daughter, Bailey, is a graudate of the University of Maryland and his son, Zachary (LT), is a graduate of theU. S. Naval Academy.
