Dr. Jeff Helmus DDS is a lifelong West Michigan resident. He graduated from Calvin College and the University of Michigan Dental School. He has worked at the Cherry Street Clinic in downtown Grand Rapids and served as an adjunct faculty at the University of Michigan Dental School.
Dr. Helmus remains active in his church and in several local dental societies. He and his wife Rebecca have four children: Madelyn, Andrew, Sydney, and Meredith. Dr. Helmus enjoys spending time with his family, coaching soccer, and watching Michigan and Detroit sports teams. His hobbies also include cycling and drinking craft beer- but not at the same time. Dr. Helmus also enjoys, as the below photo suggests, making teeth out of sand at the beach.
Dr Maring is excited to provide exceptional dental care to the West Michigan community at River Ridge Dentistry. She is a West Michigan Native, and graduate of South Christian High School. She completed her undergraduate education at Azusa Pacific University in California and her dental degree at the University of Detroit Mercy. She and her husband Dan, returned home to West Michigan four years ago for her to practice and him to complete his medical residency. They have one son and are expecting their second child, a daughter, this April!
Dr. Maring has a passion for working with patients of all ages and believes that it is never to early or too late to improve your oral health! She is committed to excellence in her clinical skills and values attention to detail. Her special interests include continuing education in esthetic and technical dentistry through the Pankey Institute, as well as studying the interrelationship between oral and systemic health. When it comes to treating patients, Dr. Maring values clear communication and patient education. We are excited to welcome Dr. Maring to our team and look forward to what she brings to our office!
