Awful! Stay away. I had no problems prioir to his work. I have been in pain every day for the last three years. He replaced all of my childhood, comfortable, non-problematic, amalgam fillings with resin. Have been to 15 dentist all say he made a mess of things. He destroyed my occlusal bite and I now have TMJ, which I never had my entire life. He was awful inappropriate and borderline behaved in malpractice at my follow-up. When I tried to explain what was going on for me. I now have proof that I was in fact correct! I had to have models made of my teeth to compare the before molds after his work. These models show that he changed my bite, curve of speed of jaw line/bone, and the shape of my teeth. He made the teeth shorter and I now have a over bite. When I shared that his hygienist Kathy told me that he would have to charge an extra $300 because he broke my tooth while filling it and that I have been in constant pain since his work his answer was: I did you a favor Breaking that tooth! Stay away! He would not address any of the pain. He stated I was a very nervus and derpressed person and he would not speak to me without being paid more for his time. I am not a nervus or depressed person. I am a psychotherapist with an MSW. I was shocked that he would say such a thing to someone he was treating for dental care. I had already paid all of my bills in full. Noting can be done to repair what he did. It has been three years of pain. Stay AWAY.

A very pleasant staff member greeted me and seated me in the treatment room, and Dr. Machell came in shortly after. He asked me a few questions and looked at the tooth that was bothering me. I had been told that I needed a crown (this was a second opinion), but he said that he thought a filling would probably do the trick and be less expensive. I liked the sound of that, so that's what we did. He did the numbing thing very gently, and the treatment process was very comfortable. He has some really interesting hi-tech systems for making the restoration, and he checked it out carefully after it was placed to be sure it was OK (it was). I have had a lot of dental work over the years and Dr. Machell is as good as any (and better than many). Thanks, Doc! Keep up the good work...
