To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Additionally we sterilize the water supply that enters the facility utilizing 'State of the Art' hospital sterilization from 'OSO PURE'. The Advanced Dental Cosmetic Center has all these tools and more not listed here. In addition our Center has a hospital water sterilization system(O-SO PURE)for sterilizing all the water that enters the building. This way we can be sure that the highest degree of safety can be maintained for each patient regardless of the procedure. Every effort is made to provide our patients with the most up to date and modern systems for their safety and comfort.
Doctor Alford was born in Mobile Alabama of a military family. His father was a career soldier and aviator in the United States Air Force and was also a decorated war hero in WWII and unfortunately a prisioner of warin Germany. Dr. Alford received his undergraduatedegree in 1969with majors in Mathematics, Physics, Aerodynamics, Biology and Chemistry. He entered the USAF like his father and was trained to be a Jet Pilot, Aircraft Commander and Flight Instructor. He saw service in Viet Nam and was decorated twice with the Distinquished Air Medal. He left the USAF in 1974 as a Flight Examiner and Instructor and today continueshis avocationas a certifiedflight instructor. In 1974 he entered the University of Alabama, School of Dentistry and graduated with honors in 1978. He was voted into the National Honor Dental Society (Omicron Kappa Upsilon)),PHI PHI chapterand received the Academy of General Dentistry Award for excellence voted by all the university professors, as well as the Lazanski Award for excellence in Oral Surgery. The Dean and Professorsof the University of Alabama ranked Dr. Alford at the top of his class upon graduation. More Recently Dr. Alford received the '2011, 2012 and 2013, 2014 and 2015 People 's Choice Award for 'Favorite Dentist'. Dr. Alforddiligentlycontinues his quest for learning and education and recently received his certification in Facial Rejuvenation with PDO Threads from CosmoFrance. He is also one of a handful of Dentist in the United States certified in 'Disclusion Time Reduction' Therapy (DTR) in the management of Oro facial and TMD Pain.
Dr. Alford moved to Bradenton in 1978 and began his dental practice with special emphasis in Cosmetic Reconstruction, Implants and Cosmetic enhancements with lazer whitening. He entered the United States Dental Institute for continued education and completed a full course ( 5 years) in functional orthepedics with additional training in orthodontics. He realized he needed to be more knowledgeable in functional occlusion and began taking courses in TMJ, full mouth reconstruction, nathology (function) of the jaws,and prosthodontic reconstructionwith IMPLANTS. He continues to attend courses from leading clinicians throughout the world and recently attended the World Conference on Implant Therapy in Las Vegas bringing back to Bradenton the most current treatments being offered utilizing computer imaging technology and Laser Application to current dental procedures. Beginning in November 2011 through February 2012 Dr. Alford completed the requirements to receive his MASTERS CERTIFICATION in LASER Dentistry from Biolase which is the world leader in medical and dental laser education and manufacturing. His office hosts the Largest Laser Study Club in the United States with the objective to educated all dentist in the use of modern dental lasers.
Dr. Alford alsodevotes his time to teaching. He is a visiting clinical instructor at the University of Alabama and LECOM School of Dentistry in Bradenton, Florida in Laser Technology. Additionally he teachs facial anatomy, facial rejuvenation and PRP procedures for the International Association of Facial Esthetics. The Advanced Dental Cosmetic Center is also a state certified training facility for the Manatee TechnicalInstitute dental assistingprogram. Dr. T also teaches cosmetic reconstructionutilizingthe most current technology in Zirconia and E-max based crownsand bridges, and CAD SIM /CAD CAM prosthesis, Veneers and Implant supported crowns to visiting dentist on a one on one basis. Dr. Alford is only one of 12 other dentist in the United States that works with Eddie Corrales from CADSMILES in California. The Advanced Dental Cosmetic Center and Dr. Alford has provided more Ceramic Restorations utilizing CEREC Technology for smile reconstruction with Mr. Eddie Correlas than any other dentist in the US.
Dr. Alford is a member of the American Dental Society, Manatee County Dental Society, West Dental Society, American Academy of CosmeticDentistry, American Academy of Computer Dentistry, International Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. theWorld Clinical Laser Institute, International Academy of Facial Esthetics, The American Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology, The American Academy of Facial Esthetics and The Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Dental Society. From January 2011 to January 2016 Dr. Alford has been awardedthehonor of 'America 's Top Dentist' for 6 years running in the field of Cosmetic and Implant Dentistryby the Consumers Research Council of America.

Outstanding practice. I commute an hour to see Dr. Alford and his team because they're 100% worth it. This is the only dentist practice I trust. Michelle is my hygienist and she is absolutely wonderful; very gentle and explains as she goes. My entire family are loyal patients with Dr. Terry and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality dentist in the Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Sarasota area.

I always dreaded going to the dentist but Dr. Terry is a game changer. By far he is the best dentist I've ever had. He removed my wisdom teeth without any discomfort. Amazing I will refer you too everybody

Always a great visit with Patty for 6mos cleaning. Practice just recently started taking appointments again... No fears or concerns as all Covid-19 guidelines were being practiced. As always, the entire staff was helpful and committed to ensuring a good visit and considerate of my time...

Dr Alford runs a terrific operation,my hygienist is Patti, for almost 20 years now she has cleaned my teeth twice a year, she's one of the all time greats, personality, great touch, always on schedule. Dr Alford is awesome at explaining what is going on when there is a problem, can take care of it with great success and makes you feel at ease when you are in the chair.

What a Great Experience!!! I am so afraid of doctors and dentists and this was the first time that I was so comfortable and relaxed. Don't let the masked animals hanging around (all taxidermied) scare you they are all well trained!!! After filling out my paper work I was brought back to the exam room. That's when all my anxiety was gone. I meet DR. Steele and his assistant Denise they were the best team ever they worked together so well that I had to ask how long they were a team and surprisingly not long at all. They were truly caring ,kind a gentle. DR Steele made sure he explained everything step by step to make me comfortable.. Denise made sure I was comfortable the entire visit. Actually have to go back to finish up my dental work and I will not be afraid at all.. Thank you DR Steele and Denise Looking forward to a long relationship.. If you need a dental office this is the one for you!!

I have been a patient of dr Alford for many years I'm 71 so I've been to many dentists over the years he is head and shoulders above any "regular " dentist. He is an artist at implants. I have a dread of needles and I don't know how he developed his technique but you won't know it started or it ended. Besides that he is a unique kind of man. If you can get an appointment you should consider yourself lucky. Oh and his staff is wonderful some have been with him for30 year's.
