Ruth has been a member of our dental office for over 15 years so far, and she loves watching the patients and their families grow over time! She is certified in CPR and also has a Customer Service Fundamentals Certificate from Northern Essex Community College.

Originally from Wyandotte, Michigan, Ruth recently got married on a beach in Mexico and has one fur baby at home a cat named Ripley. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, camping, reading, and spending mornings on the beach.

Originally from Plaistow, NH, Betsy has been with our practice for nearly 10 years. She studied business management at Northern Essex Community College, followed by dental training at Whittier Vo Tech. Her favorite part of this job is an easy answer the patients!

Betsy hails from a very active family that includes lots of animals like horses, miniature donkeys, and dogs. Her various personal interests include horses, all kinds of sports, running, NASCAR, and travel. Shes ran the Boston marathon before and has also shown horses in the Hunter Jumper competitions at a very high level.

Joanns career in the dental field impressively spans over 35 years so far, with two full decades spent right here at our practice. She attended Middlesex Community College for her education is certified in CPR/First Aid. Her favorite part of this position is working closely with people in order to help them achieve excellent dental health!

Joann has one adult daughter and one son-in-law. When she isnt busy at the office, her hobbies include camping, shopping, and traveling. In fact, she once spent two weeks as a volunteer in a South African village, which was absolutely life-changing she hopes to do more trips like that in the future.

Ann has been a member of our dental family for over a decade now, and her overall career in oral healthcare amazingly covers well over 35 years. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse before deciding to attend Middlesex Community College and study dental hygiene. Today, she loves interacting with different people every day through her position, as well as helping anxious patients overcome their fears of the dentist.

Ann is happily married with two children and two grandchildren. When she isnt busy at work, her favorite hobbies include camping, crafting, and all things Disney! She and her daughter also have a small business together where they create customized gifts.

Lucrecias career in the dental field spans two full decades so far, with nearly all of that time spent right here at our office. She was trained on the job and has attended many continuing education courses over the years in order to expand her clinical skills; shes also certified in radiology, OSHA, and advanced CPR. Today, what she loves most about her work is caring for others and helping them feel comfortable. Her compassionate nature shines through during every patient interaction!

Did you know that your gum tissue is one of the most important oral structures you have? Your gums protect the vulnerable roots of your teeth and help hold your teeth in place. If you dont have healthy gums, the whiteness or health of your teeth doesnt matter. Learn to recognize the early signs of gum disease: tender, swollen, or uncomfortable gums that easily bleed. If you do have gum disease, Dr. Jimish and Dr. Niraja can put together a treatment plan that meets your unique needs!

When gum disease is more advanced, at-home brushing or professional cleanings wont be enough to stop the infection. Thats where scaling and root planing come in. These are treatments that work to remove plaque and tartar above and beneath the gum line. Scaling is basically a deep cleaning that effectively reaches these areas. Root planing involves smoothing out the tooth roots, which makes it easier for the gums to reattach to teeth. In order to eliminate the infection completely, we will need to perform scaling and root planing treatments every three to four months.

To supplement the scaling and root planing treatment, Dr. Jimish and Dr. Niraja can also apply a topical antibiotic to encourage the healing and regeneration of gum tissue. At Amazing Family Dental, we use ARESTIN, which is formulated to fight gum disease and to significantly reduce the depth of the gum pockets. For moderate to advanced cases of periodontitis, ARESTIN can make a big difference in your recovery. Without antibiotic intervention, gum disease can return to the same levels as before.
