Adams Oral Surgery was established in1985and has been responsible for providing outstanding oral and maxillofacial surgery ever since. Our specialty is in the area of dentoalveolar and implant surgery.We offer our patients an atmosphere of caring and comfort, with an emphasis on anesthesia services to optimize their experience. Our business is located in Hanover at 249 Allegheny Avenue and in Gettysburg at 455 South Washington Street.

Eachprocedure performedin our office isassisted by at least one licensed nurse and all of your scheduling and financial needs are met by an administrative team with a combined experience of over 55 years.

Dr. Adams earned his Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University where he also lettered in both football and lacrosse. He was a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1977 and after a one year internship at Baltimore City Hospital he returned to the University of Maryland for his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He completed his residency in 1981.

Dr. Adams passed his board examinations and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in 1983. He established Adams Oral Surgery in 1985, opening offices in both Hanover and Gettysburg.

Dr. Adams has been active in organized Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for many years on both a state and national level and has been honored with induction into both the American and International College of Dentists.

Dr. Tempel earned his Bachelor's degree in General Arts and Sciences from Penn State University in 1990. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland, School of Dentistry in 1994. He completed a General Practice Residency followed by a four year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the U.S. Army. Dr. Tempel had a distinguished 12 year Army career during which he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, served in the Special Forces, and earned the Bronze Star while serving as a surgeon in Afghanistan. He taught oral surgery residents for four years before leaving the Army with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
