Dentistry has undergone many changes during the past quarter century, however, no changes have been more profound than those in the field of periodontology and implants. Dr. Manwaring is excited to be at the forefront of this exciting profession.
After attending Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago and completing his three-year periodontal residency along with obtaining a Masters of Science degree at Tufts University in Boston, Dr. Manwaring enjoys practicing with Dr. McKeownamongst the majestic Rocky Mountains. As a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, Dr. Manwaring strives to provide the highest quality of care along with the tremendous staff of Redwood Periodontics.
Dr. Manwaring and his family thoroughly enjoy the outdoors and all the recreational activities of our great state. He grew up in Park City, learned how to speak Spanish in Argentina, and loves skiing with his kids.
Dr. Sean McKeown was born and raised in Salt Lake City. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Utah and graduated from dental school at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2007.
After receiving his DDS, Dr. McKeown moved to Portland, Oregon and completed a general practice residency at the Portland Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he practiced surgical and restorative dentistry, and gained valuable experience in the treatment of medically compromised patients. It was also during this time that he developed an interest in continuing his training in periodontics.
He stayed in Portland to complete his specialty training, earning a Certificate of Advanced Education in Periodontics and Implantology at Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry. In addition to the treatment of periodontal disease, his residency program was heavily focused on oral implantology, periodontal plastic surgery procedures, and regenerative periodontal therapies.
Periodontology is a field that is constantly developing through research and technological innovations. Dr. McKeown enjoys staying on the cutting edge of therapy through a commitment to continual professional education. By incorporating the newest advances to proven therapies, Dr. McKeown is able to provide optimal treatment results to his patients. Having returned to his home town of Salt Lake, he looks forward to improving his patients oral health there for many years.

I was referred to Dr. Manwaring from the dentists on the upper floor. I have had 3 kids go through his office for minor oral surgeries and I have felt nothing but sincere treatment and care from the office, down to the Dr. himself. It truly is great to know someone who can remember patients to make additional family members feel at ease coming back. Highly recommend!!

DONT GO HERE. The staff are rude, the doctor is terrible. After looking at the names on these reviews, I am certain that some (the good ones) are done by staff. The place isn't clean. They did multiple failed implants on family of mine.

From my first visit, introductory to Dr. Manwaring and his staff, I was so put as ease that the procedure I was looking forward to [?] was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. And now that it is over, I must saw that Dr. Manwaring and his staff are absolutely the best I have ever experienced and will certainly recommend them.

If you need an implant, I don't think you can get better than Dr. Manwaring. He is kind, loving, attentive and very capable at what he does. A skilled implant surgeon. His staff is utterly amazing, his office is impeccable with state-of-the-art equipment and there is not one negative comment to make. As an ex-dental assistant, I am very picky and Dr. M has got it all!

From the moment I entered the office, I felt comfortable. I am extremely impressed with Dr. Manwaring and his competent staff. Throughout my entire procedure, I was informed about everything. Dr. Manwaring is an excellent doctor and he really cares about his patients. I would highly recommend him.
