On every level, Dr. Matthews is beyond five stars. Actually, 5 stars does not even begin to describe what you will encounter if you have the privilege of being her patient. Dr. Matthews is highly skilled and has healing hands. I had deep gum surgery and did not even need Tylenol, etc. post-surgery because of the level of skill and expertise Dr. Matthews has. Dr. Matthews' bedside manner is nothing short of amazing. She is kind, very caring and listens. It is not all about what is going on with your teeth, gums, etc. - she looks out for your overall wellness. Another wonderful and rare quality is that she will never push any type of procedure. I have had periodontists in the past who have, for lack of better words, try to "scare" me into a procedure. Not Dr. Matthews. In my experience, it has been more of "wait and see" but I can tell you, if she told me I urgently needed to do something, I would do exactly as she says because I have complete confidence in her judgment. Dr. Matthews has a wonderful staff, especially, Eileen. The follow up, attention to detail and kindness are all high-end and next level. Dr. Matthews' office is immaculate and very calming. I feel extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Matthews and her staff.

I have been a patient at this practice for several years, and have always experienced nothing but the highest degree of professionalism and care from everyone there. Not only does everyone make you feel comfortable but you just know that when you are being treated for whatever, you are being given the best care and treatment possible. From major periodontal work to cleanings, I know I can always rely on Dr. Mathews to take good care of me. I highly recommend!

I have been a patient of Dr. Mathews for many years. She is an excellent periodontist! Dr Mathews is consistently caring. She takes time to explain all procedures and answer any questions. She is committed to the comfort and well being of her patients. I recommend her with out reservation! Eileen is a great receptionists. She's always pleasant and helpful!

I would highly recommend Dr. Mathews to anyone who requires periodontal surgery. I was advised that the treatment and care that Dr. Mathews provides is extraordinary, and it was. The office manager Eileen was extremely personable, met me at the door took my temperature and provided me with a new face mask for each appointment because I was going during the COVID pandemic. The office and treatment rooms was spotless. Dr Mathews' assistant Fara, was very comforting during my surgeries- considering I was very nervous and concerned. Dr. Mathews advised me at my first visit what was going to be involved from first step to last treatment. Taking all this into consideration, I traveled from New York to see Dr. Mathews for treatment and I am so glad I did. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

A unique and very friendly periodontal practice in Westport. Dr. Jenny Mathews provides excellent and professional periodontal care. As a person that was not a fan of dental procedures Dr. Mathews friendly and calming demeanor has made me a compliant dental patient! To be totally honest, there is not a single good reason why I have been seeing Dr Jenny Mathews since 2010. The fact of the matter is there are simply numerous GREAT reasons why I happy to be her patient! Dr Mathews is a very professional, highly committed and vastly skilled periodontist. I have experienced the breathe of her talents from implants, root lengthenings, extractions, deep root cleanings to name but a few, all with great success and to my undeniable satisfaction. Jenny's "in chair care" always starts well before my appointment begins in preparing me physically and mentally on what a procedure calls for. She is an excellent communicator, fully evaluates and discusses options, listens to what I have to say and addresses my questions and concerns thoroughly. She instills confidence naturally. Also, Dr Mathews has the propensity of being able to view short term procedures as fitting into a longer term oral hygiene plan. This often requires her to co-ordinate her activities with those of other dentists and specialists of which she always takes the lead role, all to my benefit, She is flexible, with a balanced temperament and a great sense of humor. Beyond the chair, Jenny has consistently taken a holistic view toward my overall well being. She is very sensitive as to the use and long term impact of anti-biotics and is acutely vigilant in detecting signs of possible other physical issues that may be underway. Dr Mathew's office is bright and airy in a tranquil setting with very creative art work. It is also very easy to get to. The office manager Eileen is a seasoned pro, meticulous to a fault and easy to work with. She is excellent in communicating, follow-ups and accommodating special needs. Fara, the clinical manager, very nicely complements Dr Mathew's procedural style and often anticipates needs without being directed. The ease of procedural flow while I am in the chair is very comforting. There is a strong sense of teaming within the whole office...all to the benefit of the patient. In summary, I have found Dr Mathews to be the perfect periodontist for me...and I know that I am not alone in my views. She is a talented, bright, articulate, and compassionate professional for whom I give my strongest recommendation. And by the way, she's also a runner so...catch her if you can!

I have been going to Dr. Mathews for many years, I initially for gum scaling years ago and subsequently for two implants. I have nothing but praise for her skill, manner and overall management of the process. She provides very clear explanations of what needs to be done and and what she is going to do. Although I felt concerned about going to a dentist during Covid, I was very pleased with the care the entire staff gave to ensure that patients (and they) were fully protected. Including the administrator Eileen and the clinical assistant Fara, everyone is very capable....and fun to deal with. I strongly recommend Dr. Mathews for periodontal care.

I have been seeing Dr. Matthews for 8 years for periodontal treatments every six months. She is quite likely the best perio/implant doctor in the country. I have absolute and complete confidence in her and her staff. Her new office is state-of-the-art in medical equipment--I've never seen a medical professional (hospital and M.D.s included) with such stunning equipment. The office itself is beautiful (like a high-end plastic surgeon's office) and it conveys a feeling of warmth and competence. I can't recommend Dr. Matthews too highly. Just wonderful.
