Dr. Jeffrey Kotz earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business economics from Wofford College in 1999. Dr. Kotz then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2004. During the following year, he completed a residency program at MUSC, where he earned a Certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. Next, Dr. Kotz completed a two-year residency program at Boston University, where he received a Certificate in Endodontics. At Boston University, Dr. Kotz was trained in the use of the surgical operating microscope. When hes not at the office, Dr. Kotz can found enjoying various outdoor activities with family and friends, including fishing, kayaking, and surfing.
Deana is originally from south Louisiana but is in love with Charleston since she moved here in 2019. She has worked for Dr. Kotz since 2019. She graduated from Bryman College in 1999 and has 21 years of experience in dental assisting. In her spare time, you can find her at the beach or walking her dog through nature. She absolutely loves watching football, especially the New Orleans Saints and LSU Tigers. GEAUX TIGERS! She also enjoys cooking her familys favorite Cajun cuisine.
Wilma would like to welcome you to a new standard of high-quality dental care. Wilma has been in the healthcare field since 1983. She and the staff strive to make sure EVERY patient is comfortable and satisfied with their treatment. Wilma loves being part of a team that makes sure our patients experience the difference in our personal touch.
Erin is a Charleston native bringing Lowcountry Hospitality to our team. Having served in the educational community for 19 years, she is happy to provide you with quality care and customer service. Erin enjoys cooking, traveling, and attending local events with her children.
Janelle is originally from the beautiful sunny state of California and moved to Charleston in 2021. After serving overseas in the U.S Navy, Janelle made the career move to Dental Assisting where she can better serve her community back home. Janelle attended Concorde Career College in 2020 and has been assisting ever since. Janelle is a foodie at heart and loves to run on her off time. When not at work Janelle and her husband enjoy traveling around the Charleston area checking out the different food scenes in the area and taking in local sites with their dog, Louie.
Kacy has joined us from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She recently moved to Charleston with her husband in the fall of 2021. Back in Mississippi she attended William Carey University and received her Dental Assisting certification at Coastal Medical Training Institute. In her spare time, she enjoys baking and playing with her two cats

Updated 11/9/22: Dr Kotz and his staff are incredible! I had to get an old root canal retreated (the original procedure was done 10 years ago) and once again had a very positive experience! Old review from 2017: I was very anxious before the procedure as had some negative and very painful experience with a different professional, but the staff and the doctor were amazing. Great place if you want to make sure you get the best service!

Having a Root canal with nitrous oxide was the best. Dr Kotz and staff are wonderful, kind and caring. I seriously recommend Dr.Kotz Endodontics.

I am slightly terrified of the dentist! But my experience for a root canal was the best dentist experience I have ever had! I'm pretty sure I slept through most of the procedure. Most importantly my tooth no longer hurts and I can eat again!! Thank you

What a wonderful practice! The environment is very welcoming, and the staff are patient and kind. The procedure went smoothly, with Dr. Kotz and his lovely assistant explaining everything and making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Dr. Kotz and his staff are amazing, and they do amazing work.

Saved my tooth, saved my vacation on Kiawah Island! Thanks to Dr. Shannon Pye (Wateboro, SC) and Dr. Thad Morgan (Lake Mary, FL) for the excellent recommendation. Emergency root canal, in and out in 1 hour and 15 minutes for a very reasonable price and all my pain gone! Thanks also to his very compassionate staff, they are genuinely concerned with your well-being.

I had a great experience at Dr. Kotz's office. His entire staff was extremely warm and welcoming. His office was very clean and relaxing. Many people are anxious about having a root canal (I was too!), but Dr. Kotz puts you at ease. I have had my fair share of dental procedures and this was the quickest and easiest of them all! From setting up the appointment, to having the procedure done, everything was seamless. I did not feel any pain during the procedure and for that I am grateful! I would highly recommend Dr. Kotz!

Dr. Kotz and his staff were absolutely amazing!! This was my second root canal with him and as I was nervous for the first one I felt more comfortable and relaxed for the second one than I ever thought possible. The staff made me feel welcome from the time I walked in the door until the time I left. I would highly recommend Dr. Kotz for any of your endodontics needs.

It may be hard for some, to imagine an enjoyable root canal. Somehow Dr. Kotz and his exquisite team have found a way. They made room for me at a moment's notice, and treated me with the utmost care. Having never had such a procedure before I was a little apprehensive, but they kept me calm an in good spirits. I didn't even need laughing gas! They ALL seem to genuinely care about the well-being of their patients. The procedure was quick and efficient. Hopefully I will not need their services again, but if I do, there is no where else I would rather go.

I called Dr. Kotz's office yesterday morning seeking a consultation about a crowned tooth that needed a root canal. Erin worked me in for a consultation within less than 2 hours. After xrays & an examination, Dr. Kotz was able to perform a root canal thru the crown! I was very pleased with that. Dr. Kotz & Kacy provided skilled care that made me so comfortable that I feel asleep during the procedure. I sincerely appreciate the fast response and excellent care that I received. I highly recommend calling this office for endodontic treatment. Thanks again to the team!!

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and interacting with them was a pleasure from my initial phone call until I left the office after the root canal. I had a lovely conversation with his assistant Casey while waiting for the anesthesia to take effect. Dr. Kotz kept me aware of every step of the procedure, establishing a partnership in my own dental health. My dentist, Dr. Larry Ferguson, described Dr. Kotz as the right man for the job; he was absolutely right! Kudos to Dr. Kotz and his staff-they made the whole experience stress-free for this brand new resident of the Low Country!

Some people are afraid of snakes, spiders, heights, even clowns. I have an unbelievable paralyzing fear of dentists. My brother, sister, and I all had very bad experiences as children and as a result have not taken care of our teeth. Recently my brother and sister had to have extensive treatments to save their teeth, causing me to try to put my fear behind me and get work done that was long overdue. I was in need of two root canals, and like most people those words brought terror to my heart. I was referred to Dr. Kotz and can truly say that at 67 years old this was my first completely painless procedure. From the beginning they were so kind and understanding but more importantly there was no pain...no pain from the shot to numb, no pain from the drilling, and no pain while recovering from the numbness that usually brings spiking tingles as it wears off many hours later. The numbness subsided so easily, leaving no pain, that I almost didn't notice it was gone. I have never written a review for a dentist because I have never been comfortable with one ...but this experience has been nothing short of amazing. The office staff, the hygienist, and most of all Dr. Kotz have made me so much more comfortable with having these procedures done. If you need a root canal, this is absolutely the place you need to be!

Had to have a root canal spur of the moment and was referred to Dr. Kotz by my regular dentist Dr. Matz. This was my first time getting this type of work done. By far the best, easiest, quickest, same day service I've ever had. I've heard bad things about root canals and honestly it was over before i thought he did anything. There was no pain at all! Thank you for the quick service and amazing experience. If i need another root canal i will DEFINITELY be coming back to see Dr. Kotz and his team!
