Dr. Moon is a native of Virginia. He completed his undergraduate studies at the nearby George Mason University studying Bio-Chemistry. He then went back to his hometown of Richmond to get his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree at Virginia Commonwealth Universitys school of Dentistry. He spent his time in dental school doing extensive research ranging from bone growth and development, to bonding agents used in the field of dentistry. Having published numerous research articles, Dr. Moon provides our patients with the latest techniques and the most up to date standards in the field of Dentistry. By providing procedures such as root canal therapy, simple and complex tooth extraction, crowns and bridges, simple and complex fillings, pediatric dentistry, dentistry for special needs patients and implant restorations, Dr. Moon helps us provide a more complete dental experience. He stays up-to-date with the latest techniques and always creates an upbeat working environment.
In his spare time, Dr. Moon loves spending time with his friends and family. Dr. Moon also loves to educate people about his profession and takes every opportunity to do so ranging from giving lectures at George Mason University about tooth trauma to mentoring young students that are trying to also enter into the dental profession.

Dr.moon is meerly just a good salesperson as opposed to a doctor. It's easy to tell he cares more about the money than the actual care of his patients. Every experience with him has been horrible for me. Most recently, I went in for my annual cleaning, and he urged me to get a crown for one of my back teeth. I was very hesitant, but he kept persuading and said if I waited any longer my tooth will "go bad". I reluctantly agreed, and have since regretted it tremendously. The sesitivty im experiencing in that tooth is so bad that I had to go back to his office. He then declared that I needed a root canal done to stop the pain. Again, I decided to trust him, which was another major mistake. Ever since the root canal, EVERY TOOTH in that area of my mouth feels extremely sensitive, to the point where I can't even chew without being in pain. I went back to his office desperate for a solution. The answer to the problem one of his assistants came up with was to get botox... A few minutes later, Dr.moon came in and said he could also prescribe me a muscle relaxer. He believes the issue is im not relaxing my jaw enough even though I was never experiencing this beforehand. His manerism was extremely casual, despite me needing to come for help multiple times due to his neglagence. I urge anyone to be cautious when advised by Dr.moon and to get a secound opinion for anything serious. It might save you some unnecessary pain.

PLEASE DON'T GO TO THIS DENTIST. I have horrible experience with him. I went to see a dentist for my lower teeth pain and dentist pointed out this minor slit on my upper tooth. He suggested me to put the crown. I was hesitant at the moment but than he convinced me by saying if I wait for to long than that spot will get bigger and damage my whole teeth. So, I agreed on what he said and put the crown. Now after crowning tooth got so sensitive, I am not being able to bite from that tooth side. I cannot drink cold water. I have to make sure I am eating from other side. So today I went to see dentist. He is saying I have only two options whether to do RCT( Root Canal Treatment) or stay in pain until inflammation goes away. I felt like all this has been practiced on my tooth is just to make money not to protect my tooth from getting damaged. I came to know the dentist who put the crown is no longer working with them. All this inflammation began right after crowning. I can not afford RCT for my tooth which was fine before crowning. Please think twice before going there.

The entire office was super hi-tech with modern equipment and it has such a pleasant environment. I had a great experience here. Dr. Jeff was very nice and informative. He evaluated my case and provided solutions with priority. The staff was professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this dental office to anyone!!

Dr. Moon is the best caring, honest, super professional. He has an excellent method as a dentist very thorough in his approach. He is up-to date with technology. He is the best doing crowns specially you can have it done the same date! I have been going to his practice for over 10 years and had a few procedures and I can tell you his work is impeccable! Love his practice, all the team is kind and friendly. I will highly recommend him!

Dr. Moon's office has attentive, friendly staff and a lot of appointment flexibility/availability. But, the two times I have come here they have let me down and will not be returning. I found this location through Tricare United Concordia. The first time, I had a great cleaning with a very kind dental hygienist. A short side note...they do use the bitewing x-ray rather than the panoramic machine...now that is nitpicking on my part, but I do not prefer it; the whole process was very uncomfortable and I had cuts in my mouth by the end of it. My real issue came when I suggested that I wanted Invisalign. After an examination, they determined that I would be a good candidate (though noting that because of one of my teeth it would not be "perfect"...which I understand). They immediately flooded me with a team of over four staff that presented me with a paper with a charge of $6,000. They said I would need to pay in full immediately following the appointment. It did not feel right...so I turned down the service and left. Now, I had had an orthodontic appointment for braces/Invisalign years before this consultation. And, by circumstance, I had another one a few days later. In BOTH instances, they said I would actually need four teeth extracted to have any result from the treatment. While I thanked my lucky stars that I had not gone through with it here, I understood that there might be a different perspective between dentists and orthodontists (though, note that the orthodontist was changing me two thousand dollars less). So, I returned, as I needed the extraction scheduled with a dentist. They had all my information, x-rays, etc. Dr. Moon said that it would be less than a fifteen minute operation. His manner was casual--bordering on flippant--as he told me that it would be like taking out baby teeth. It would be no issue. His manner alarmed me slightly, and I decided to get a consultation from my pervious dentist. They didn't even let me have a consultation--after their two doctors conferred, they said they would not be able to do it, as the roots were too deep, and referred me to an oral surgeon. Perhaps Dr. Moon was right, and it would be no problem. And they likely would have done a fine job on the Invisalign. But I am no risk taker when it comes to my teeth...please judge for yourself, but be cautious and get a second opinion for anything serious.

Dr. Jeff Moon is a caring and wonderful Dentist. He is a true professional who listens and takes the time to get a good plan for you and get you there. I'm so much better off with this dentist than my last. Their staff is passionate about what they do and attentive as well. Hightly recommend this Dentist office. Dr. Jeff Moon is a caring and wonderful Dentist. He is a true professional who listens and takes the time to get a good plan for you and get you there. I'm so much better off with this dentist than my last. Their staff is passionate about what they do and attentive as well. Hightly recommend this Dentist office. Dr. Moon and his staff worked quickly and efficiently to get me out the door as I needed to make it to an appointment that immediately followed the visit at his practice. Everyone was very polite, Dr. Moon was very easy to talk to and was very happy to explain anything you had questions about. My visit was as a new patient for a regular exam and general cleaning. I have to admit the xray apparatus and accessories they have to stick in your mouth is sometimes extremely uncomfortable, but the images were clear and that's what mattered most to me.

I had to move to Centreville for work about a year ago, and my coworker had recommended that I go see Dr. Moon at Haymarket Dental. Everyone at the office was extremely friendly and Dr. Moon has been the best dentist I have been to. He's very meticulous with his work, and is able to explain everything very clearly. Him and his staff clearly and honestly describe to me the extent of dental work I need, but are flexible and able to give me options for treatment plans. They're also great at accommodating my busy work schedule. They have hours on Fridays and Saturdays! They even have emergency call line and quickly meet my needs. Lastly, they accept most insurances, which is great!

I went to the dentist with terrible pain in one of my molars. The first dentist I went to told me that the only way to rid of the pain was to take the tooth out. I wanted to get a second opinion, so I went to go see Dr. Moon, whom my family friend highly recommended. Even before he began the procedures, he showed me my X-rays and explained the situation. When all my questions were answered, he did a root canal and I avoided losing my tooth! The procedure was really smooth, and him and his staff made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole thing. He not only save the tooth, but also suggest a treatment plan to make sure the rest of my teeth stay healthy. Highly recommend Dr. Moon and Haymarket Dental!
