Dr. Jay Shartzer is a recognized leader in the field of implant dentistry. In addition to maintaining a full-time dental practice, he lectures nationally on implant dentistry in formal academic settings. Dr. Shartzer received his DDS degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1980 and has been in private dental practice in Florida since 1981. Dr. Shartzer is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry and the American Society of Osseointegration. He has achieved Fellowship status in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry as well as served as past-President of the Southern District American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Additionally, Dr. Shartzer is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association for Dental Research, International Association for Dental Research, Florida State Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantology, Florida Prosthodontic Study Group, and Alabama Implant Study Group.
