Dr. Jay Shartzer is a recognized leader in the field of implant dentistry. In addition to maintaining a full-time dental practice, he lectures nationally on implant dentistry in formal academic settings. Dr. Shartzer received his DDS degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1980 and has been in private dental practice in Florida since 1981. Dr. Shartzer is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry and the American Society of Osseointegration. He has achieved Fellowship status in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry as well as served as past-President of the Southern District American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Additionally, Dr. Shartzer is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association for Dental Research, International Association for Dental Research, Florida State Dental Association, International Congress of Oral Implantology, Florida Prosthodontic Study Group, and Alabama Implant Study Group.

It was really great to finally go to a dentist that did a superb job on cleaning my teeth plus no sales pitches on trying to force a lot of other things to make money. Love the doctor and the Hygienist. She was Great! Thank you!

5 Stars isn't high enough. From the moment I entered the door, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the office was clean and inviting, and the check in process was a delight. Dr Shartzer is a "real" dentist, he is experienced, knowledgeable, and straight to the point. I wish I had went to him sooner. Thank you Dr. Jay Shartzer for your professionalism and service to our country.

Dr Shartzer is a wonderful person and skilled dentist. He has an outstanding staff that care about you and treat you as family. I had extensive work done, 8 extractions, 2 implants and cosmetic work. I am overly satisfied with the results. A special shout out to his assistant, Christy. She was not satisfied until my bridges and cosmetic outcomes were both perfect. Thanks to the whole staff for a wonderful job!

I went to Dr Shartzer very afraid. I needed an implant and have several very bad experiences. IT WAS GREAT! He is a very gentle man. NO PAIN! I mean no pain during or after! The staff is wonderful. They are very knowledgeable, helpful, and really listen to what you have to say. Dr. Shartzer even called me that night to make sure I was ok. WOW what a wonderful experience. If I could give them a 10 I would, This is the dentist for me..

I was having terrible tooth pain while on vacation and was in need of an emergency visit. Lucky enough I chose to call Dr. Shartzer. The staff was very polite and welcoming, and he and his team got down to the problem right away. They explained every step of the process very thoroughly and always made sure that I had enough numbing. The only thing I am upset about is that I'm hours away from home and can't see Dr. Shartzer regularly!
