Dr. Janice Brand recently celebrated her 30th year in Oldsmar in her newly relocated office at 3144-3 Tampa Road, across the plaza from her previous location. Dr. Brand is a 1990 graduate of University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, and has practiced dentistry in Pinellas County for 34 years. She is a member of the American Dental Association, West Coast District Dental Association, and is a Past President of the Upper Pinellas County Dental Association. She has been involved in leadership for many years, has served as a delegate to the Florida Dental Association, was a Legislative Contact Dentist, and currently (since 2006) serves as a dental board examiner for the State of Florida.
Dr. Brand keeps current with state-of-the-art dentistry and regularly attends many CE courses in cosmetic, implant, and general dentistry, including LSUs Cosmetic Continuum. Dr. Brand enjoys all types of dentistry from simple fillings to complex restorative cases. She has had several articles published in dental journals, and enjoys dental office design and decorating. Dr. Brand recently designed her current location, as well as decorated the interior.
Dr. Brand has been fortunate to have long-term staff members who share her passion for dentistry and regularly update with CE courses. Dr. Brand and her staff welcome new patients into the practice and assures all patients of a welcoming, caring environment.
Dr. Jesus L. Sojo grew up in Puerto Rico where he attended the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras for his undergraduate studies. He was commissioned as an officer in the US Army and left in 1986 to complete a tour in Germany. After his military service, he pursued a new course and began studies at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, from which he obtained his dental degree in 1996. Dr. Sojo received a scholarship and commission with the US Air Force where he completed a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. He also completed advanced courses in Pathology, Oral Surgery, Forensics and Orofacial Pain.
Dr. Sojo served overseas in the Pacific and Europe for 12 consecutive years maintaining a comprehensive general dentistry practice in addition to many senior level duties including director of 2 dental facilities, leading mass disaster contingency response teams and staffing new dentists in a residency program. He routinely provided leadership, mentoring and lectures for the dentists and staff. After 23 years of active duty military service, Dr. Sojo retired from the Air Force as a Colonel in 2015. He moved to Tampa, FL to continue practicing dentistry in the private sector. Dr. Sojo is fluent in Spanish and enjoys providing top quality care and the best customer service experience.

I was looking for a new dentist 6 months ago and Dr. Brand came highly recommended. I was lucky that she took me due to the pandemic and I am very pleased with the care I am receiving.

Office is very nice and so was the staff however I feel extremely misled... Told me my cleaning/visit should be around $17 but they would send it off and see if it gets covered at 100%... scheduled me to get 3 fillings done.... the bill came back for over $200. So I canceled my appointment for fillings. Went to a covered dentist who received my up to date X-rays (that turns out I did not even need) from this office and turns out I also did not need any fillings! I had a breastfeeding baby at home, got a baby sitter to come so I could get a cleaning... I'm happy I got the bill prior to showing up to get 3 unnecessary fillings! It's been about a year now I've had 2 cleanings from my new dentist where he and the other dentist in the practice have reassured me both times that I do not need any fillings.

I initially came to this office for a 2nd opinion after going to another dentist where I felt like I was in an assembly line. I'm so glad I did! I cannot say enough good things about Dr Brand and Dr Sojo's office! Every person I've come into contact with has been exceptional. When I told Dr Sojo that I've had brain / neck surgery, he told me that they would be as gentle as possible positioning my head for treatments. I don't think he knows how much that meant to me. Such a kind, simple thing can make all the difference

This office is exceptionally inviting. Professional in every aspect and super friendly from the office staff to the dentists. I had Dr. Sojo for my exam and he was very thorough and made me feel very calm through the whole process. Misty assisted him and did a great job with my xrays, making me as comfortable as possible. Crystal was my hygenist and she was top tier!! I had the best most pain less cleaning I've ever had. I usually bleed and end up in pain the whole next day but this time Crystal cleaned my teeth and it was the best one yet. No pain or bleeding and she took her time, and was very thorough, nothing felt rushed. If I could give this office 10 stars I would!! Great job guys!!! I will definitely be coming back!!! Thank you so much for changing my opinion about dentostry! No more anxiety when going to the dentist!! Love this place!

Dr Brand and Dr Soho are amazing people. I absolutely would recommend this dental office. I have been to a lot of dentists over the years so I'm saying this from past experience of bouncing around trying to find good care. If your questioning switching dentists, but are scared to go somewhere new, don't be. Go see Dr Brand or Dr Soho. They will take care of you! The staff that assists them make sure you are comfortable the entire time. The whole team truly cares about their patients and the quality of their work.

Dr Brand has cared for my family & I since 2004. She is highly skilled; carefully applying pain free novacaine, cautiously reviewing x-rays from high tech computer equipment, selecting appropriate solutions whether a filling, crown, bridge, implant ... or saying "lets wait and look again in 6 months". I've had seven different dentists in my long life, none as skilled as Dr Brand. I highly recommend her for your needs.

Our daughter has received such wonderful care from Dr Brand and staff. Our schedule is quite full and yet, Dr. Brand's office has worked so well with our schedule to accommodate it. Their level of professionalism and customer service is excellent! I am so happy we made the change to have our daughter as a regular patient of Dr. Brand and staff!!

They took me on an emergency basis. I am newly relocated to the area. I am very satisfied with the quality and value and also the referral to a specialist. I was referred by the most discerning person I know and she was right. The office staff is pleasant and helpful. The hygienist gave a pain free and thorough cleaning.
