Her approach to dentistry is based on being a collaborator in patients health. She listens to each patients individual needs and gets to know them on a personal level, which helps her provide thorough, compassionate, and skilled dental care, tailored to each patient.
Beyond providing high-quality general dentistry care, Dr. Jane is especially interested in cosmetic dentistry, and helping patients with complex restorative dental needs, including restoring implants, placing crowns, and tooth-colored fillings.
Dr. Jane participates in several continuing education forums as a member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and the Mt. Baker District Dental Society. She is also an active member of a Whatcom County clinical dental study group, which helps her collaborate with colleagues to stay up on new trends and the latest developments in dental treatment.
She attended Western Washington University, earning an undergraduate degree with honors in biology, and went on to study at the University of Washington School of Dentistry, where she was one of just a handful of women in her graduating class.
Steve was a Navy brat raised mostly in the Chicago area. He is an avid hiker and exerciser and is generally an outdoorsy guy. He believes in the concept of Lifestyle as Medicine, good old fashioned healthy living!

This office has the best environment! When I first became a client I would shake in the chair from anxiety, and after many procedures and cleanings with this staff I actually look forward to coming into the office to see everybody. They're honest but won't make you feel ashamed of your situation, financial or dental, and always good for a laugh! I've been a client since I was 18 years old and been through phases of being insured and not insured and they have been respectful and helpful through all of them. This is truly an establishment that understands what it takes to be the best in customer service. I'll never go anywhere else.

I've had a lot of dental work done and been to several dentists in the Bellingham area. Dr. Steve is the best by far and makes the experience as painless as possible. I used to be nervous going to the dentist, but now it's always a breeze.

The best dentist I have ever been to. I have had some bad experiences with dentist in my childhood, I remeber mostly durning the numbing process lots of pain, and discomfort. Which led me to shun dentists like the plague. After about 10 years of not being into see the dentist, I had some much needed work to be done. My insurance directed me to Dr. Sawicki and so I made an appointment. The staff made me feel comfortable, the atmosphere was calm and reassuring, and the care that I got in the chair was superb. I am deathly afraid of needles, to the point where I faint when I get a vaccination. So when Dr. Sawicki came to numb my mouth, I expected the worst! Not only did he make me feel calm and safe, it didn't hurt at all!!! He is magic. I've been back dozens of times now for many fillings and a night guard even had a couple crowns put on. Every time I go I have a great experience. I am glad places like this still exist, where you feel valued and cared for AND can get excellent work done. Thank you to the whole team there!!
