I had emailed this company a couple of days ago asking if they take my insurance I was told though email to call the office and ask but when I called I guess the lady didn't want to be at work today or was just having a bad morning she was rude and hung up on me so I emailed the company back and she emailed back basically talking trash again and being rude I wouldn't recommend no one going to this office if they can be rude to you on the phone like that I can Imagine how they treat you in person

I last was at the dentist here in 2019, just before COVID. I had an appointment scheduled in early 2020, but was cancelled due to COVID-19. I was never really given any guidance on when to return. I finally called and made an appointment, two months out. I came to the appointment, and the office still acts like COVID is a deadly killer. I had an appointment at 12:30, but was told to wait in my vehicle till I was called. Well gas prices are sky high and it was 95 degrees. Finally someone comes and gets me for my appointment 15 minutes later. After examination, I had to reschedule to come back in two months due to tarter buildup of not going to the dentist and need a deep cleaning. Man, I can win for losing. But other than that the staff and dentist work is very pleasant. I do say it is time to relax the COVID-19 restrictions and just live and let go.

Best place in Suffolk for dentist work. I've never had any issues and always greeted with respect.

So, I usually do not like to leave bad reviews, but my last two experiences here have been awful, and since I chose this dentist based on great reviews I thought I should share. So 6 months ago I took my 15 year old daughter to an appointment, I was sent a text before that due to covid to call once you arrived and someone would come out and get you, so I guess they were behind that day and we ended up waiting for about 40 minutes! The hygienist came and got her and she was done super fast. My daughter came out and told me that she felt they really rushed on her cleaning etc. Also they gave her a fluoride treatment that I did not agree to and insurance does not cover. Anyway I decided to stay here and took her today for her cleaning appointment (usually get there about 10 minutes early). They have a tiny parking lot with 4 parking places and 1 handicap parking place, and a sign that says additional parking in the back. There was no parking in either (happens most of the time) so I had to park at Wal-greens across the street ( had to do plenty of times). So since I didn't get a text saying to call once there and someone would come and get you, I attempted to call to ask if that was still the case and that we were at Wal Greens, however it went to an answering machine, so I told my daughter I would just drop her off and she could call if she needed me. You can only make a right turn into the parking lot, so I had to stop by the median to let her off so I could go and turn around. She called me and said that there was a 8X10 sign on the door that said to wait in car or call for assistance, so she called and she said they rudely told her there was a HUGE sign that said wait in the car and they would come get her. The door was locked so she was waiting outside for me to come get her. The person that answered the phone said since it was a nice day she would come to Wal-greens to get her. I canceled the appointment and we will not be returning here.

Dr Boyd and her staff are GREAT! They are always friendly and are very helpful. They take care of you and treat you special. The entire staff listens to your concerns and do all they can to help you! Thanks to all of you for all you do!!!!!

What a pleasure it is to visit Dr. Boyd's office! I have never experienced such friendly, cooperative and professional dental care in any dental practice before. The office staff are welcoming and friendly, and they are knowledgeable in handling insurance questions. The assistants are also friendly and helpful in creating a calming atmosphere. My hygienist was sweet and gentle as she cleaned my teeth, and she told me everything she was doing as it was being done. She made suggestions for improved personal care of my teeth and gums, and she made sure that I was relaxed and comfortable throughout the process. Dr. Boyd is quite simply the most fabulous dentist that I have ever had! She is so nice, so caring, so personable, and so smart! She cares about me and asks about my family, and I love that! I have had the best dental care in her office, and I highly recommend her to anyone. No wonder she keeps winning Best Dentist of Suffolk competition every year!

This review is primarily based on my experience with the front office staff. The hygienists and dentist provided good service for this visit with my daughters. While I was waiting for my daughters to finish, a staff member (which I thought was a patient) entered into the waiting area, sat near me and immediately began to ambush me about a delinquent bill of 60 cent. I thought initially this was a joke. I have never met this person before, she did not identify herself. She did not verify who I was. I informed her that I had no prior notification or knowledge of this amount, and was not billed. I stated that all bills are paid on time, and I have nothing outstanding. Then when my daughters were finished, I got a thorough report from the hygienist and was told to wait until called up, as my daughter needed a follow-up for a filling. I waited for over 10 minutes listening to the bickering / gossip in the front office and approached the window. I said I have been waiting for an appointment, and was immediately meet with "appointment for what?" from the same staff member. I explained the need for a filling appt. and she said come on around and slammed the window. Once inside, I got a smart remark when I complained about the waiting. There is an unprofessional culture within this front office. I also provide reviews on the dentist site, patientconnect365. These reviews are well over a year old, and only reflect the most positive comments. I welcome a response or call from Dr. Boyd.

I called the office to see Dr. Boyd regarding some random tooth pain I was having. They were able to get me right in. Dr. Boyd and her assistant remembered me although I've only been to her twice. She's very good in comforting an extremely anxious patient like myself.. She doesn't jump right in and do what she "thinks" will help, she makes sure before proceeding and that's the most important to me.

This dentist office is excellent. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who needs a dentist. The staff is very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. And Dr. Jana Boyd is awesome. Thanks again for everything.

Friendly atmosphere and on time with the scheduled visits mixed with the lovely jana boyd giving u an update on your dental progress... not to mention if you ever get the pleasure of having tracey as your hygienist, you will laugh because shes so down to earth and very funny.

Sitting in the Dentist office nervous as a Big Dog getting ready to get a crown. I thought that it was going to hurt. No, in my mind I knew it was going to hurt. I was bracing myself for PAIN!!!! But little did I know the Doctor and her assistance were definitely on top of their Game. From putting in the needle to all the other things she had to do, I didn't feel a THING. I was amazed. I close my eyes the whole time so that I wouldn't see anything. I think the fear of just going and being at the Dentist scares people. Or should I say scare me. (The first thing I have to talk myself into going). The whole time the Dentist was working and her assistance was helping her, she was thanking her for the things she was doing. My, how gracious is that! Right now I am still sitting in the chair so I will let you know the final results in a few minutes. Waiting on the crown to harden up. Ok they are finish. Great. I lived. If you want a A-1 Dentist I recommend Dr. Jana Boyd DDS in Suffolk on Godwin Blvd.

Very grateful for the whole health approach to your dental health practice. Thank you for this it had practical impact upon my recent hip surgery I'm not so sure it would have been noticed else where.

They are a very friendly, very happy, and a fantastic atmosphere. They were very professional, and did a fantastic job on my oral exam and cleaning. I'm happy to call Dr. Boyd's office my dentist.

Dr. Boyd and her staff are always very pleasant. She has such a genuine personality and what can I say about my hygienist, Erica! She is simply amazing! Her personality is so warm and genuine as well. I don't think I had any bad experiences since I've been seen at Dr. Boyd's. Keep up the great work!
