A native of Nashville, TN, Dr. Sweeney earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Fisk University in Nashville in 1967. He then attended Meharry Medical College, also in Nashville, where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1971. From 1971 to 1973, Dr. Sweeney served in the United States Air Force at David Grant Hospital, Travis AFB, CA. At the completion of his service, Dr. Sweeney began his private practice as an associate dentist with Dr. Henry Lucas in San Francisco, CA. In 1975, he joined what is now known as Oasis Dental, and has been here ever since.

Roxanna has been in the dental field for over 34 years and brought her extensive experience to Oasis Dental in 2008. She provides patient screenings, takes and develops X-rays, cleans teeth and counsels patients about good nutrition and hygiene strategies to maintain and ideal level of oral health. Roxanna loves helping people, and feels privileged to play a part in helping people understand the importance of good oral hygiene.
Roxanna was born and raised in San Francisco and currently resides in Discovery Bay. She is a devoted animal lover and rescuer that has saved a few horses, birds, ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs, turtles, chickens, ducks, scorpions and roosters. She is currently the owner of two naked sphinx cats, two American hairless terriers, saltwater fish and a few snakes.
Born and raised east Oakland, just blocks away from the office, Star loves her life as a loving wife and mother of twin boys. She is also the proud parent of a cat loving, red-nose pit bull and a dog-loving cat. Star enjoys cooking, watching UFC fighting and anything that will make her laugh.
Jackie began her journey in the dental field in 2004 when hired by Dr. Sweeney as a Registered Dental Assistant. After working at Oasis Dental for 5 years, she decided to advance her education and career goals and is now a Registered Dental Hygienist. She is a talented and patient educator and very is passionate about helping people understand the importance of their oral health. She is a great hygienist with a calm chairside manner and kind demeanor.
Jackie was born in San Francisco but has lived in east Oakland for the majority of her life. She has been married for 13 years and has four beautiful children. In her free time she enjoys shopping, outdoor activities and although she dislikescooking she really enjoys eating.
