Dr. James R. Wells III grew up in Murray, KY, and graduated from Murray High School in 1985. He attended Murray State University until he transferred to the University of Kentucky and finished his undergraduate work. He was accepted into the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry and earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1992. After graduation, Dr. Wells moved back to his hometown of Murray and started his own dental practice. He has been in practice for 24 years. Jay, his wife Michelle, and his sons Hugh and Cole live in Calloway County.
Desirae is from Graves County. She has 16 years of experience in the dental field, having been employed as a dental assistant and front office staff before attending Western Kentucky University and earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 2004. She has been employed by Dr. Wells for 10 years.
Kendra is from Graves County. She completed a Practical Dental Assisting course and has earned certification as an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant from the University of Kentucky Dental Continuing Education Department. She has worked for Dr. Wells for 1 year.
Beth grew up in Murray, KY. She attended Murray State University where she earned the degree of Associate of Arts in Office Systems in 1999. She has 18 years of office experience and has worked for Dr. Wells for 11 years.
Halee grew up in Murray, KY. She attended West KY Community and Technical College and specializes in Insurance Coding and Billing. Halee has 10 years of office experience and has worked for Dr. Wells for 1 year.

I drive 45 minutes to go to Dr. Wells. His staff and Dr. Wells always makes you feel like family! They are always accommodating when I have a tooth emergency and I come out feeling cleaner than ever.

Welcoming and efficient staff members situated at the "front desk" is a great place to begin. It really is appreciated as I am hyper sensitive to anything dental related. Of course, that's what brought me here. My "tech" was genuine, relaxed, well paced, and pleasant. It is also appreciated. Dr. Wells is masterful in banter (calming), and education is passed along in an encouraging rather than judgemental manner. A couple hours post procedure I find myself wondering what else in life I got wrong? Had this been my dental experience earlier in life, well, I wouldn't have posted this review. Overall excellent patient care. Also, I travel for work and know nothing about the town of Murray, Ky. I chose this office because they were able to accommodate my dental need before any other provider I reached out to. Total non-biased review here.

It had been awhile since I'd been to the dentist. Personally it is NOT a fun experience for me. This was my first visit to Dr. Wells, and he and his staff were beyond nice. Above all, they wanted me to be comfortable. Dr. Wells made me feel 100000000% comfortable during my FOUR HOUR stay lol. I have found my dentist for as long as he is in practice. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. If you're new to the area or just looking for someone that honestly cares about their patient's well being then this is the practice for you. Thanks again to Dr. Wells and all the staff!
