A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Dr. James Andrews graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina School of Dental Medicine in 1974. He accepted a teaching position with the Universitys Department of Oral Medicine until entering the United States Army Dental Corps as a Dental Officer. After serving at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, Dr. Andrews established a private dental practice in Summerville in 1978.
Highly-regarded for his skills in Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry, Dr. Andrews has also completed numerous, advanced courses to provide patients with all tooth replacement options, including dental implants. He is skilled in providing all phases of implant dentistry in one, convenient location and ensures patient comfort and safety at all times. Additionally, Dr. Andrews is Certified to provide I.V. Sedation to give patients the option of having treatment performed in a twilight sleep state. Oral sedation is also available.
In addition to having achieved Fellowship status in American Dental Implant Association, he is an active member of the International Dental Implant Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, and is devoted to the community through ongoing civic involvement.

Jeannine, Registered Dental Hygienist This Boston native celebrated her 20th anniversary as a member of Dr. Andrews team in 2015 and values the relationships she has established with so many patients. She became licensed in anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation in 1994. She attributes her extensive dental knowledge to continuing education and training that keeps her on top of the latest developments in oral health.
Ginger, Registered Dental Assistant Originally from East Tennessee, Summerville is now home for Ginger. With over 20 years in the dental field, she is committed to compassionate care for which Dr. Andrews team is so well recognized. When not in Dr. Andrews office, you can find Ginger spending time with her husband and son, camping, boating, and riding motorcycles.
Tatyana Registered Dental Assistant Tatyana is a graduate of Trident Technical college, where she earned her certification as a Dental Assistant. She is passionate about details that create ideal experiences and outcomes for patients and cares for the comfort and well-being of each. Tatyana, a native of the Ukraine, moved to upstate NY to be close to family but decided she liked warmer weather. Now living in Charleston, she and her husband stay busy with their two children outside of work.

I've been coming here for years even before Dr Johnson took over. I will admit Dr Andrews was a little pushy on upselling crowns, fillings etc... But now that Dr Johnson is taking over he said if it was not bothering me, don't worry about it until it does. They also have some new front staff which also seemed very nice. I highly recommend them I've never had an issue with Dr Johnson.

Dr. Andrews and staff have always been friendly and professional on each of my visits over the last couple of years. I needed major help and they have been nothing but kind and courteous as I have gone through this journey. Jeannine in particular has always made my visits fun and productive. Like a lot of folks I used to loathe going to the dentist, now its a pleasant experience I'd almost say its like visiting friends. And Jeannine is my favorite hostess for the adventure.

Always prompt and cant find better customer service team. Lets you know whats going on every step of the way, so no surprise charges when time to check out. If they cant do something, they are always ready to refer you to someone who can and not just take your money.

Dr. Andrew's runs an outstanding practice. His reception staff is super friendly and helped to expedite my intake forms. Jeannine made X-rays a breeze and did a superb cleaning job! She was very thorough and took her time. Tatyana did an excellent job taking impressions, she had me in and out in less than 5 minutes! Overall a great dentistry and am looking forward to my next visit!

I have never had the pleasure to meet dr Andrews but I have met his arrogant son in law the one is taking over his office the first meeting I had while we were discussing my treatment plan he made comment about putting lipstick on a pig I decided to give him a 2nd chance he did a composite that didn't even last a week, and a partial the doesn't fit correctly and while he was working on me he was talking about his front staff and saying that the dental hygienist was acting like a teenage girls.Maybe if he was not strutting around like a peacock showing his feathers he could have concentrated on doing a better job! On a side note his assistant was very nice
